Brendan Rodgers

Recommended Posts

I would say the most worrying thing about Rodgers is nothing to do with this season but it is the fact that he seems dead set on playing 1 striker up top with 2 wingers, which neither daka nor iheanacho look suited to. The long term future without vardy under Rodgers is looking bleak, although it's not entirely Rodgers's fault it's also down to the recruitment's as well.

Looking forward to his bebuild. Few more lamp posts, Bertrands and Soumare and we will be flying.

Ah yes, so his head of recruitment has gone and his head of medicine (or w/e the title) has gone. And you're assuming he's going to be given full control?

Given as well the signings of Vestergaard and Bertrand were his and the rest made by the scouting team we use?

He's the manager. He take responsibility for it all.

Everyone on here we need to focus on the Europa Conference it’s our best route into Europe next season.

then throw your toys out the pram and call for the managers head when he does this.

This is the issue, were continually lowering our expectations to afford him some form of success. Beating a Danish team and Leeds has papered over some massive cracks when fans have every right to address there concerns with him in charge.

That's such a generic way of looking at it, and frankly incorrect.

No its not. He's in charge. Its his side that gets put out every week. Do you not think he has a say in all the signings?

How is it lowering expectations?

We can’t complain our players are always injured and then also complain when they are rested?

Beating Randers and Leeds didn’t paper over cracks - we beat teams who we are better than

I'm sure that if Graham Potter or Frank Lampard or whoever is flavour of the month had been in charge we'd have won that comfortably and there wouldn't have been any injuries all season ever.

Yes that's right, but your point was on the rebuilding and saying they were all Rodgers signings.

Merely pointing out that the sole Rodgers signings were Vestergaard and Bertrand, and the rest all were scouting department signings. And given two big names Rodgers brought in behind the scenes are leaving, it suggests a shift of power away from his sole voice is happening.

We got battered by Leeds and randers away.

They were better than us. But I don’t really see anything in this that is a reason to sack him? We rotated players and missed Youri. Key mistakes cost us, that was out of Rodgers’ hands. Arsenal had lots of shots, but didn’t really create many clear chances.

The creativity has been poor the last few games, need to change that going forward.

A better stat to look at, the shots 1 is pointless as a guy could shoot and it hits the corner flag but goes down as a shot 🤷‍♂️

Ok, the xG was 3.13 - 0.55
