what is the point on arguing about whether we have the 9th highest player wage bill in the league or not? I'm sure that not a single fan would put our squad as the 9th best in the league or even 8th, we're undeniably in the 5-7th range in the league for our squad ability, anywhere within that is arguable but outside of it is not. With this in mind player ability surely outranks wages in terms of expected squad performance, case and point manchester united.

This is such a good breakdown of reasons why so many have turned against Brendan. I actually dont think there is any fan who expects to be top 4 (yes we all want that but no one expects it). There massive issues this season. Basics done wrong. In addition, issues that have been prevalent in the past two season just dont get fixed. Being Brendan out doesnt mean you dont respect his achievements. But for some this club over the reputation of a manager or player is bigger. There is nothing wrong with saying we havent been very good this year at the fundamentals and change is not the worst thing in the world. The reign is over and whether that happens now, at the end of the season or six months into the next, it wont change things.

we all know that bredan is not taking us in the right direction.  Does Top? If not then why not?

Theyve certainly not been the 5th or 7th best this year so I'm not sure that can be defined as undeniable.

it has hamza on 61k a week.

Click the link you provided, it has him at £7,500 a week and Tielemans £33k. Total wages £55m, its about as accurate as that Jeffrey Schlupp shot vs Everton back in August 2014.

Nice & honest thing about Leagues, THEY CANT & DONT BULLSHIT,

LCFC‘s position on ability for this season, is where they are & where they finish.

Could of , should of‘s, if,but buts, don’t give or take points away.

For every we should ofs, our opposition could of..,,

1. You are not a qualified mechanic.

2. You weren't a spectator in the workshop.

3. You haven't named a suitable replacement vehicle - and even if you do someone will tell you it's crap or unrealistic.

4. Ten years ago you were driving a much worse car.

5. Five reverse gears and one forward is a perfectly acceptable gear box.

6. Where we're going we don't need roads.

🤣🤣 brilliant 👍🏻

We pay peanuts really , none of the Man.City squad would get out of bed for 60 grand a week. If we want to improve our squad to top four standard , we are going to have to pay more - much more.

Your tagline says “the real world” you outrageous fibber!

....I can't agree with this....!!!

We would be looking at administration in a very short time if we chose to adopt such a policy. We are never going to have the financial clout of the big boys, we are trying to get the best out of what we can achieve, with astute sales and purchases and maximising the incoming funds. To a degree we are a stepping stone for the big teams, we may not want to acknowledge it but we do produce players where the big boys come calling, we just need to achieve the best we can while we have them.

The club is all about self sustainability and in a few seasons we will be spending more in the summer windows, we are a team that can win things, even if we do not have the clout of the big boys.

What I mean is sustainability , yes we can and do win things , but to be a fixture at the top of the league you have to pay big money. That is the reality of the ridiculously high pay of modern footballers in the EPL. Even the mid table clubs are now being forced to pay £5 million a year contracts as the norm.

.....we are not going to follow the trend and throw money at it, if clubs continue this way this game will be bankrupt in quick time!!!

Developing talent early and selling at their peak will have to be our model, we wisely invested in potential, while others were throwing money at problems. We need to pat ourselves on our backs, as the there are teams out there, who look to do what we have done and have taken up the blueprint.

We look for ways to maximise our chances, it is the only way, if we have less finance.

When you see us paying the likes of Bertrand, Vestergaard, Perez and Praet north of 70k a week each there's still plenty of improving we can do on thst business model!
