Second leg against Benfica is 26 August, so this is going to be a very late one if it happens.

Perhaps the club and player have said if we don't qualify then he goes - PSV will lose money in not qualifying for the group stage, and the player will have no reason to stay there over leaving for us/Dortmund.

We've not been in there for 3-4 weeks for the club to feel they've not got a real chance.

....Trincao....ended up at Wolves!!!

Can you really? After he's not played there all season? lol

He hasn't played anywhere all season but no, I forgot Castagne is still out injured so I'm sure Rickey will play FB tomorrow.

We have some real talent when everyone is fit that will be left out of the starting lineups.

....Dortmund....they can easily outbid us in this scenario!!!

Dortmund operate in a very similar fashion to us. So don’t be surprised if they go to other targets if PSV want more than they are willing to pay.

Dortmund are in the Champion's League and have turned Sancho into a "superstar" so in a bidding war we would have to be way above them. I think he will do another year at least at PSV myself he has no need to hurry.

Not necessarily, he wants to play for England. And his best chance of that is to play in England. If he wants to threaten to start anyway.

Who knows we may have also done another Macquarie type deal, say to the tune of £70m  anticipating a sale of a player next season, but freeing up the cash to be spent now so that we are in the Champions League when we sell said 'star player', meaning we can replace him easier

....I would think the Loans would be taken out against our League position!!!

So long as we stay in the Premier League for the duration, by the time the expansion and the other elements are completed in 2024, we will be a washed with money.

I've considered a young guy from England my want to just come home.

He has played in all the age group levels while he is with PSV so  don't think that will matter. Southgate rarely picks a Leicester player anyway. No, logically when he does move on, and that depends on his progress, Dortmund seems to make most sense. Certainly we have a chance with him unlike the frankly silly idea of Berardi.

I disagree, Southgate overlooked Maddison because his performances were no where near that of Foden, Mount, Grealish et al….. had nothing to do with us being Leicester. Plus Maguire got played regularly.

He’s more likely to be overlooked playing in a foreign league, Sancho for an example, he wasn’t used as many thought he would be. His best move would be to come back to England, and PSV will sell at the right price. Like I said Dortmund are not the type of side to get involved in mad bidding wars. They’re similar to is in many ways, they’ve just been operating at a higher level for longer.

Maddison was in the form of his life in that year when Villa came up and Grealish was getting looked at. But at no point in time was grealish, mount or foden being talked up at more than Maddison.

Besides, Foden is a winger and Mount/Grealish are ACM's. At the season he was on fire madders was played in an introverted left mid role forward of tielemans.

That’s my recollection too . It’s why the casino incident seemed so jarring and out of character as he had everything going for him

Exactly. It was like he was plainly depressed and took himself alone to a casino venue. Hardly the worst crime in the world with Maguire going from jail to starting for in England in a matter of weeks. I do think Southgate for some reason just doesn't like certain players.

It's the club that receive the money, not the player. As far as the club would be concerned an extra 100k over Dortmunds offer and they're happt to sell to us surely?

Perhaps you're thing of salary not transfer fee.

I’m referring to the Euro’s when it matters…. Madders was left out because of his form and injury. So to suggest that Southgate will over look Leicester players is nonsense. Maguire, Chilwell, Barnes, Maddison and Vardy all played under Southgate… Maguire and Chilwell became regulars, of which Chilwell has since become second behind Shaw.
