It's the club that receive the money, not the player. As far as the club would be concerned an extra 100k over Dortmunds offer and they're happt to sell to us surely?

Perhaps you're thing of salary not transfer fee.

They could bid 10 million more, they have the Sancho money. His agent though may advise him to stay at PSV a while longer and improve his chances of getting a very big contract. Another season or two of goals and assists and he could be looking at a 7 million pound a year contract , very good for a 21 y.o.

They could but your point was that we'd have to bid way more.

I’m referring to the Euro’s when it matters…. Madders was left out because of his form and injury. So to suggest that Southgate will over look Leicester players is nonsense. Maguire, Chilwell, Barnes, Maddison and Vardy all played under Southgate… Maguire and Chilwell became regulars, of which Chilwell has since become second behind Shaw.

What does that have to do with anything? There is no mention of any talk on the Euro's and the casino incident and injuries were in opposite years of his tenure here. And he wasn't left out because last year he was never in the England team setup.

An agent who doesn't want his client to move? he'd get a much better chance to show case in the prem.

Honestly don’t think we are in for this lad but hopefully can get someone in for the right side

We've been in for him for the last few weeks according to a reliable ITK

I imagine cost and PSV delaying to keep him for the knock out games are the issue here

......we could bid £10m above Dortmund and he could chose to go to Dortmund!!!

The player has the power at this point and it is where he wishes to go which will determine the outcome. If Dortmund has offered a previous asking price, and any bid from another club would be seen as a massive boost to the selling club, but it does not mean the player will be going to the highest bidder.

Hope so just think he may be a little out of our price range unless a few leave hope I’m wrong though

Same ITK said we had "cash" and implied we are solid financially due to assets we could sell if ever needed.

There's definitely interest there but does seem like a tricky one, unless we over pay and that's probably what PSV are waiting for, but so far, we aren't ready to do that perhaps. That's just my opinion anyway but I could be way off

Dortmund’s record signing was Dembele a few years back for 31m, their next is hummels for 27m… they don’t just Chuck money about, like us they recruit well usually for a modest fee then reap the rewards, I just don’t see them getting into a bidding war imo
