Reported yesterday that Monza bid €8m rising to €17m for Ounas, which is obscene given he is out of contract in 11 months.

 

His best football in Serie A has come at no.10 anyway - 4 goals and 4 assists at Crotone in 13 games on loan in the second half of last season.

I'm basing the strength on it being reported from a few different places, one of which claimed we'd agreed to sign him but it's a bit of a blur. He needs to rebuild his career, flashes of brilliance but he's even further down the pecking order than Ünder currently in stature.

Kabak - nothing advanced but Leicester interested. Reports at it was almost done were not true. Kabaks priority is to play in the EPL

Spoke to a few people a while back and there didn't seem to be anything in the Kabak links at all, despite it being pushed we were seriously in for him.

 

PS. If we're looking for a CB, what about Kurt Zouma for £20m?

Always liked Zouma. Not sure why things have never quite worked out for him. Sounds like he might be being used as a makeweight in the Kounde deal though.

Is the winger position going to be our final acquisition? Sounds like we got a pretty stacked squad now. They just all need to gel now asap! Would like to see a decent performance against Villereal. Gotta have something to feel good about going into the Man city game.

I realize 20m isn't what it used to be, but would be a firm "no thanks" for me.

It's entirely possible there will be no winger acquisition at all.  People are making a lot of assumptions without hard evidence to back them up.

Evidence is we have needed a winger since Mahrez left and it's as clear as day.

 

Having to start Perez again for another season costs us Champions league football possibly Uefa.

A lot of the media who are relatively trustworthy have all repeatedly said we are after a winger and Rodgers said at the end of the season he needed to address the balance in midfield to bring more attack to it as well as " attackers " which suggested more than just a striker. Ünder has gone back, Gray was sold last season. Its not fallacy to think we'll try and improve the glaring weakness in our team.

Well I for one am shocked that any club run by Silvio Berlusconi could be involved in a potentially dodgy transfer deal.
