Does anyone have any video clips of this ‘wonder kid’ scoring worldies and other stuff…

This is one that cropped up when the links about him wanting out several months ago and then he got his debut for us.

Don’t understand why this is dragging on for so long, looked decent when he played for us in the Premier League, could save us a fortune if he gets the chance to step up…

Perhaps he wants unreasonable terms and the club won’t bend over and get shafted by him or should we say agents .

There is quite a talent pool of young central midfielders coming through our academy. Tavares is possibly the best as it stands but there are others too. Wanya Marca, Ewing, Braybrooke, Suengwittachon and then there's Alves, Cover and Briggs from the U16's that are hugely talented.

Will be interesting to see what happens.

Look around the league, or even around Europe.

How much transfer business has been done?

We've just ended the longest 18 odd month run of disrupted football and a lot of people want a holiday, clubs are in financial turmoil, there's travel restrictions all over the world which will slow down most transfers, there's major tournaments going on in Europe and South America where plenty of players are on international duty - and THEY will need holidays afterwards.

This is going to be a slow and drawn out transfer window and people just need patience. It might be a couple weeks still before guys like Soumaré and Daka are holding up Leicester shirts for the cameras and they're the deals we can be pretty certain are already done.

Tavares has been with us since he was a kid and we should have either sorted a long term contract out a couple of years ago (would have seen his potential then) instead of running his contract down to the last few weeks/months, or cashed in on him a year ago for whatever we could get instead of possibly losing him for nothing…

He looks to be competing with KDH, Tielemans, Maddison, Praet and Perez. And any signing we make in that area. He’s clearly got talent. He just needs the game time. Can we make sure he gets it with the quality of our midfielders is the question.

Yes it is all our fault...

But unless he feels he is already an elite player, then surely his route to the first team is to do what KDH has done, i.e. a couple of seasons on loan in the lower leagues and get rave reviews at those clubs.

Yeah fair does. The counter argument is Thomas didn't need it. Both Thomas and Taveras played for England and Portugal respectively at their age levels.

Tavares had a fair bit of interest elsewhere from what I can recall. He's perhaps weighing up his options.

It'll be great for the academy if we can get another first teamer in a season or two. Chilwell, Barnes, Hamza, Thomas, KDH and Taveras would be fantastic for the academy's reputation.

You may  have a big surprise  sooner  than you think; I can guarantee  you haven't seen  enough  of Sidnei Tavares...let's see what he's going  first than how he really  plays 😉😉😉

The shrewd move here is agree a new deal on 10k a week and then a loan move to the Championship next season, exactly what KDH did.

KDH spent time in League One first.
Will any Championship team take Tavares? (And play him?)

If that is the case then you should advise your son to stay at Leicester and agree a loan so he can play first team football to get better. ;)

Remember there has been no one who has left in the recent history  from Leicester and gone on to do anything. Money comes with success.

His game against Brighton would be good selling point. And his international credentials. I think he's better than KDH was before he went out on loan.

Worst case scenario is to one of the promoted teams from League One. Blackpool play some exceptional football but teams like Blackpool and Luton are hardly the glamorous sides that Tavares entourage would picture him at. The kid needs to wake up though, don't mind him being inpatient on playing first team football but get the pathway via a loan from us rather than going to another established team and being back to square one.

If he was my son he was playing  for  man United  right  now ;  you're really  worried about the wages he can  get  why ? Why don't  you  work  por 10£  where you  work and  live from that 10£ than after 10 years  you will be a better worker than you can get 10.000
