During the build up, the 5-Live 'experts' were saying how much of an embarrassment it would be if Man United had to play in the Europa Conference League.

Agreed, it would cheapen the competition considerably.

So arrogant. There was also a Man U fan interviewed on 5 Live before the game crying that they hadn't won a trophy in 5 years. For fans of most other clubs that's normal. So why is it "totally unacceptable" for them? Even now they're still 5th in the league despite being "terrible". Man U fans have no idea what being really bad is like.

Nice of Rangnick to give Lingard a run out before his free transfer to Leicester in the summer where Rodgers says "Jesse has great characteristics, a real hunger, desire, he'll be great for us" and leaves him on the bench from October.

Then he gets injured and is out for the rest of the season

The Premier league is in danger of becoming like the Scottish prem. Man City and Liverpool are on another planet to anyone else

Don't think so, unlike the SPL where it's just top two with the money. In premier league their loads clubs who've got the cash to burn, namely Newcastle to come in time, Man Utd despite their struggles, Arsenal got the cash to burn, Villa got a heavy cheque book, Chelsea depending on who the owners shall be.

I reckon it'd take years to catch up with these two, and that's assuming they stagnate or decline
