Popular Post Jattdogg Posted 19 May 2022 Popular Post Share Posted 19 May 2022 Dont think viera should be fined at all. This is where the police, epl take a stand and fine the fan (if they could find him) for putting a manager/player in potential sticky situation. Imagine if the fan kicked or punched viera, he reacts then a mob of goons start laying into viera. Sure he doesnt appear to have been touched and kicked out but i dont blame him for reacting. Good on the smart fans who circled around to prevent that from getting out of control. I understand peoples excitement but stay off the feckin pitch especially while opposition players, club personnel are on it. Just dont go on it! The same goes for players, stay out of the stands (unless you get a red lol).

Deeg67 Posted 20 May 2022 Share Posted 20 May 2022 In theory Burnley and Leeds have it about the same with Newcastle and Brentford respectively waiting. But Burnley has GD on their side, and Leeds’ squad is totally decimated by injury and suspension. I imagine if Bamford is anywhere close to fit they’ll risk him, but even so they’re grossly short-handed. A win with their available pool of players would be a miracle - their best bet is probably to grind out a draw and hope Burnley chokes it away at home. fox_up_north Posted 20 May 2022 Share Posted 20 May 2022 This is getting out of hand, now. FA and EPL need to make a statement - instant 6 point deduction for any pitch invasion or forfeit a trophy won. Mark my words - if it carries on, you can kiss safe standing goodbye
FoxesWalk Posted 20 May 2022 Share Posted 20 May 2022 (edited) Whilst that guy getting floored by Viera is pretty funny, it does feel like it’s only a matter of time before someone gets badly hurt in a pitch invasion. Thousands of emotional blokes under the influence with a partisan divide between two groups is not a good recipe. The two events at the forest match both look over the line. The headbutt could have done significant damage, and McBurnie stamping on some guy on the floor… No idea how you stop idiots though, point deductions for teams the next season? Maybe a little harsh, and might not even work. Edited 20 May 2022 by FoxesWalk

Whenever single invaders come onto the pitch during a game, the cameras focus on something else……..just an idea. lt may not help, but at least stop making it ‘trendy’.

Newcastle is in decent form and they could certainly do Burnley. Maybe Bamford hobbles off the bench in the 90th minute and scores a worldie in stoppage time to save Leeds. They're more interested in videoing it on their phone, goading the opposition fans or going round opposition players. As I said in the Championship thread, they're pointless, I don't get the need to do it. Every club just seems to do it now regardless. It'll not be long before someone gets seriously hurt whether that be a player/manager or a fan. I'm pleased that Vieira went back at that fan tbh. I'd imagine the same thing will happen Sunday and some Man City fans will be more interested in trying to get in Gerrard's face.

UniFox21 Posted 20 May 2022 Share Posted 20 May 2022 Club and police need to take responsibility here. This is the 3rd or 4th one this week so didn't take a genius to see this coming. Surely after watching Billy Sharp get headbutted and need stitches they'd have put a plan in place to get the away team off? Someone is going to get properly hurt at some point
