Premier League 2021/22 Thread

He also has a point to prove to his doubters but more importantly himself. Lot of factors on why he seems to be doing better outside of LCFC. He had plenty of chances and time with us. Lets not forget his end product which was wildly inconsistent. Of course its frustrating we could realize his potential with us but hey ho it happens. It's one of those cases where a player simply needs pastures new to rediscover himself. I for one with him well but not against us!

Gray had more than enough chances over five years and wasn’t consistent enough wherever he played. One good game followed by several bang average ones and poor decision making. If moving to Germany for six months has finally seen him mature and things click for him, fair play to him and all the best. It was never going to work here for him, he needed a fresh start. Let’s see if he can do it consistently week in week out

Should never had let Gray leave.

Another decent player we've lost over the years because our fans didn't like the player without any reason why.

revisionism lol

I thought exactly the same when Big Dan returned to the fold.

Comparing Big Dan to Van Dijk is akin to comparing Cheryl Cole with Olive from on the buses

Gray would often play well whenever he got in the team. Then he'd get complacent and his performances would tail off. Fair play to him if he does well at Everton, but it's far too early to judge.

Amazing how quickly people forget what a player was like here.

Gray was a head scrambler. At times he was superb and has all the ingredients to be a quality player but at Leicester something stopped him from ever being a serious player. He couldn't be relied upon to play a number of matches on the spin as his performance levels just vanished, he barely ever had a good game from the start for us especially under Rodgers. As an impact player in 2019/20 he was handy. That said Perez still gets flurries of games and is every bit as bad as Gray was when he flopped in games so we might have to take some of the flak for failing to get the best out of him.

If he does get the confidence to settle down in their team then who knows how good he could become.
