If Lampard had stayed there they wouldn't even have made the top 4, his appointment was done with heart not head. Lukaku addresses Chelsea's main shortcoming last year, Grealish doesn't really give Man City something they were lacking, but Man City started from a stronger position anyway and it's not like the signing's weakened them.
