Man City are offering the stars a way into the MLS because of NY City FC aren’t they. That’s surely why Messi and Ronaldo are even considering them (as well as the money of course).

You act like every mls club wouldn’t harvest all of their fans organs to sign them up anyway

Probably best not to speculate what for, just use code.

He’s been charged. So it’s not speculation. You only get charged when evidence is sufficient. Enjoy your time in the slammer son.

Obviously there’s still a trial to happen though, everything could still fall through. I meant speculation in terms of detail.

Complete novice here, but what is the difference between charging somebody and accusing?

Not being controversial just interested

Can only speak for the US

Accusing someone would be me saying “You stole my car”

Charging means the police have evidence You stole it and arrest you.

Huge difference.

Charging him means that the CPS have enough evidence to be confident of a conviction. So it’s pretty serious.

Charging someone is a specific legal term. It means it will go to court. The prosecution are accusing him of being guilty and as he’s been charged it will be up to the court to decide (if he pleads not guilty).

He’s still innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law and insisting anything otherwise is illegal under the contempt of court act.

Charging is generally CPS believe that threshold has been met to pursue a conviction. In rape cases, which have a shockingly low conviction rate, that's pretty big.

Arrested on suspicion - just means that there's been an allegation and you will be questioned. You can be released without charge or pending further investigation. You can be arrested for all sorts and it's not a stain on your record, unless you accept a caution (accept being the key word) or are charged and sentenced.

But it looks like they've gone straight to it.
