Sadly we never got into a position where it was possible. Also proves that so many keepers in this league aren't anything special distribution-wise and Schmeichel is no better or worse than most, just that Ederson isn't the norm. To me he isn't the sort of player who needs it. He is excellent at receiving the ball, has a low centre of gravity so doesn't get knocked off it easily (bit like Salah), works hard and has decent awareness and technique, not to mention he chips in with his share of goals. He isn't a world beater by any means, but he'd walk into our side on the right in a 4-2-3-1 as would about half West Ham's bench, they've hoarded a decent amount of attacking midfield talent. They also don't try and play tippy tappy football and pretend they're Man City. We are too passive and a bit of a nice team to play against. That's why we get bullied so often.
