Burnley keep this up and surely they are going to have to end up forfeiting games or something? Already 6 games behind

The only team left in Europe who they have to play is ourselves so many free midweeks to choose from.

Certainly gets us to an interesting point where they potentially can't fit games in

Waiting for April when Gravel Throat is complaining about the excesses of Premier League football, player welfare etc when they're literally playing Saturday/Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday to fit games in.

Back in December the postponements were justified but so many clubs have had a dose of the Rona running through the squad and have had so long to get bubbles and measures in place to reduce spreads that it just isn't washing anymore. Leeds have blooded 8 teenagers this season and every other club should use that as an example. Whether or not they have to get clubs approval to change the rules back is by the by, it's making the league look like a laughing stock and must be getting them some heat from worldwide broadcasters by now. They have an obligation to protect the integrity of the league, not just pamper the already pampered players.

They're not in Europe and already out of the cup. They will have enough free midweeks and cup weekends to play these fixtures.

It’s all right having games in hand but Burnley have Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool next. They could be well adrift at the bottom by the time they play these cancelled games. You’d rather have points on the board.

Would we ever get to a stage where fans will start to turn on their clubs for calling games off, maybe people are pointing fingers at the wrong people you know maybe fans will say to the clubs you've got over 40 players registered at club via the youth system, why are finding it difficult to get a games on. Cause at the end of the day before Covid shown up if say your club had 8 injuries in your first time, nobody would be calling for a game to be called off. It would just be counted as unfortunate and the club would just go out find some players from the academy to fill XI. That's how it's always been, why has it suddenly changed.

The problem is getting the points on the board with a depleted squad. They're evidently hoping to not play again this month and get 2 or 3 new players in. Having to play 3 games a week though for the rest of the season isn't going to be easy for them, I really do think they're going to struggle to stay up now.

Our situation is still worse than Burnley's. At least they have most midweeks free.

Given it sounds like they won't be using the January break at all we can't even guarantee having every midweek free.

What an absolute farce this season has turned into.
