Interesting debate in the Leeds United world. Ezgjan Alioski is joining Galatasaray which seems to have split the fanbase between him being scum of the earth, and just a man trying to maximise his income during his short career, despite his legacy at Leeds.

Everyone's forgotten that Harry Kewell played for Galatasary then?

In fairness they're top of the league as things stand, so the only thing stopping them winning the league is having to actually play any fixtures.

If there were two games to go, Everton would still drop to 10th/11th.

The Ben White agreement is excellent business by Brighton.

Though, the tag agreed will place him under great pressure to do well.

I think he’ll do well to be fair, seems a grounded lad and is a good player.

I obviously don't watch as much football as others but what has Ben White done to warrant a £50m price tag? I know it's not his fault and if Arsenal are stupid enough to pay then that is their problem but whenever I saw Brighton he wasn't even picked at centre back. Is he genuinely a top defender or another example of a pretty boy centre back who can pass a bit so gets hugely overrated.

Certainly the best defender Arsenal have bought in a long time… I think he will be good too

But he’s not though. He’s not actually that good at defending... which is sort of the biggest part of his job.

Watch him flop

He is young and has had a reasonable season.  That’s about is for me so far. He may turn out to be great, but 50m is a bit of a risk for an unproven player.

Not sure if it's a joke, if it isn't pretty much watching an american sport.

I wonder for the unlimited substitution if you could put someone back on the field who was subbed off earlier in the game.

Also will this open up the possibility for TV timeouts?

The first two I'd be all for, though I wonder how it would impact things like scheduling and timings. At the moment you can be reasonably certain that barring a freak occurrence the game is going to last about 90-100 minutes with 15 at the break, whereas under that new system there's no telling how long games with teams like Burnley would go on for. Imagine it's a Monday night game and you've got work in the morning but you can't go home to bed because Nick Pope is taking a millennium over every goal kick and all their players are just wasting time and hoofing it into the stands at every opportunity.

Can't see what unlimited subs would achieve other than killing the tempo of the game and stacking the deck even further in favour of the richest teams. Kick-ins could be a laugh, a brand-new set piece for us to be shit at.

Last one is presumably an attempt to discourage cynical/tactical fouls but surely you'd be better off either making them straight reds (nuclear option but pretty sure you'd see a marked decrease after a few weeks of games ending 8-a-side) or introducing a punishment that sits somewhere between the two? Otherwise you'd have things like taking your shirt off when celebrating being punished by five minutes on the bench which seems even more stupid than the current punishment.

Kick ins are a no from me, unless it's within, say 6 yards of the touchline. (6 yards because it's in line with the 6 yards box and it would make defenders have to do more to save a corner)

Unlimited subs...hmmmm, not for me. Could lead to specialist players, for set pieces. Almost like American Football has a defensive and offensive line up.

Yellow card suspension, I'd like an orange card. Something in between. An offense can be serious, but not enough for a red. See Chiellini in the Euro Final. Similar to the rugby sin bin.

As for 30 minute halves and the clock stopping, I'm all for it. I can't remember what game it was towards the end of last season, maybe Southampton? We wanted a winner, they got a goal kick and it took over 90 seconds for the ball to get back in play and that wasn't added on on top of what was already stated. I know this works both ways though.

This is nothing new though, I believe Marco van Basten came up with something similar about 15 years ago.

That included scrapping offside. I'm against that.
