Hahahaa I'm not actually that much of a fan of Jesse Marsch's. He was a disaster at Leipzig and Salzburg are impressive because of their phenomenal recruitment, not specifically the coach whilst he was there. He'd piss me off with his soccer ball lingo.

And we get a clear runs at Diego Martinez now

Bielsa has to be one of the most overrated managers in the history of football. His PR game is unreal.

Leeds fans wanting him to win manager of the year for the feat of getting “the biggest club in the championship” out of the championship lol

Think it's the wrong move to get rid of him tbh

this... which will be the same response of fans from every other club other than ours when we sack BR after losing to Burnley on Wed.

3 points needed in the next 2.

That Man City penalty was a disgrace, blatant, league is so corrupt, rules are deliberately hazy to allow them to call the decision in whichever way they prefer.

Agreed, but at least it is consistent decision for a change when comparing the Dawson handball goal against us to this.

We can argue the rule or the ambiguity of the shirt line, but it does my nut in when the interpretation of a rule is different between officials. At least it’s the same application of the rule across both games.

It’s an awful rule though and one that needs yet another change when it comes to handball.

Any arm movement to control the ball despite where on the arm it hits like yesterdays decision should be penalised. Likewise any touch of the ball that hits anywhere on the arm that results in the ball ending up in the back of the net should be immediately ruled out. It really isn’t hard.

The handball rule never needed changing in the first instance. It all seemed to come about from  this, which some people seemed adamant wasn’t a penalty:image.thumb.jpeg.17abe71beba8653e6b4fe73f43bb8986.jpeg

Of course this is a penalty, he’s played the ball deliberately with part of his arm. The fact that it also touches his shoulder doesn’t matter, he’s gained an advantage from playing the ball deliberately with his arm.

By changing the definition of arm we’ve managed to both make the offside rule worse (see Bamford being given offside for pointing last season) and also ended up in a world where blatant handballs - handballs that anybody who has any reasonable concept of what handball should look like - have ended up not being given because of the ambiguity attached to it.

Go back to the old rule. Incidents like the Mings one happen once every five seasons and deserve punishing in any event. Right now the rules are a mess and for no good reason.

That ref should come out and explain his decision on that handball. It is an absolutely farce. Also why did VAR not intervene?

It did. Chris Kavanagh thought there was an offside in the buildup. PL later clarified there wasn't.

He's a shocking official. Made so many mistakes.

I think I recall him making a few howlers before but can’t remember as they all seem as bad as each other. The standard of officiating in this country is a joke. Mike Riley needs to be sacked. The worst part is there doesn’t seem to be any punishment or sanctions for these guys, they just continue to ref the next week.

Media love in for him was unreal.

Everytime I watch Leeds Tyler comes out with something like "Leeds just love to attack" as if Bielsa invented attacking football.

They might be entertaining but they're open and defend like, as Gary Neville put it, an under 14's team.

People are aware that the first thing VAR checks is the Club Badge of Team being checked? Once that is cleared up the script for the Officials is clear.  Yesterday’s incident at either of Kloppfield or the Pepihad and it’s a spot kick. People really need to get real.

Nothing to do with the on pitch  ref .

VAR went by the below/above sleeve rule  to deem it wasn’t handball .
