OH Leuven Thread 2021/22

Good to see some optimism coming back into this thread!

But it will be that much better to see those "few more quality players" in, so you guys can compete and not just survive.  If that doesn't happen, there will be changes, probably sooner than later.  :claude:

LCFC fans' trust in this ownership may still look too implicit to folks in Leuven?  Actually it was earned over years.  Genuinely humanistic ... but hardass at the level it needs to be.

Whatever happens in the next few days, we need a new Director of Football! I don't care if he signs Mbappe and Harry Kane, he needs to go!!!

Despite Rezaei's abysmal finishing today, there's nothing wrong with his mentality as he never stopped running, getting into the duels with opposition and pressing without the ball.

If he gets fit he can still play an important role for our club.

Nevertheless, I really hope we can sign Sory Kaba :)

I was looking for more info about this player, because I was wondering why a decent striker would have to leave a team like Midtjylland and bumped into this article: https://www.67hailhail.com/news/confirmed-midtjyllands-top-striker-sory-kaba-wont-play-against-celtic/ (there are more links to danish sportswebsites in that article that explains more into detail).

Are we sure we want someone with that attitude?

But than again... if Lamkel Zé is an option? lol

Brys is know for handling "difficult players", so I'm not worried. We also don't know why Kaba refused to play or practice.

Belgian media reports that Mykola Kukharevych will come in on loan.

I imagine he would be 3rd/4th choice striker behind Sory and Rezaei and fighitng it out with Vekemans and Allemeersch

Hopefully has a buy option as I really wouldn't see the point in this, hasn't really scored any goals in his career yet

Oh dear, I remember he was REALLY bad for Arsenal in a cup game

If he comes in it will be as a backup to Romo. We really need a decent backup because both Kawin and Ravet are simply not good enough

Wasn’t that great at Arsenal but probably a better backup instead of Kawin.

Unless any surprises I guess it’s the Ukrainian player and that’s you lot done?
