OH Leuven Thread 2021/22

Get us a new Henry and replace Chakla with an actual defender and we'll do better again. Looking forward to more playtime for Sekidika as well.

Improving discipline would help, isn't that 5 red card in the league now?

Playing 28% of your games with 10 men for a period isn't a recipe for success.

Four, of which one was in a cup game. Two of which were given very, very lightly (Mercier in the cup and Kaba this weekend against Kortrijk).

You'd think Romo would grab his chance today, but instead shows why the hell he's benched in the first place. It's clear that he will never learn anything new in his positioning and decision making. I hope we won't miss Runarsson for too long cause Romo will cost us points again.

Chakla must have heard my comments, cause his performance was better today.

Sadly we only have 4  consistent players in our team being De Norre, Dewaest, Mercier and Maertens... all the others are fillers. I don't get why Keita is benched for Malinov, cause Keita performs way better. I still don't know why Kukharevych doen'st get a chance as a forward. Kaba can take the next plane back to Denmark for all I care.

Brys doesn't seem to be able to adapt his tactics to get the most of out this team. We have the potential to do better, but not in this formation.

....did not manage to see too much of the game, and stopped watching when the keeper was injured!!!

Kabba is a old fashion Forward, likes to get in and amongst the defence and getting on the end of crosses. We are playing in a style that does not suit him, and with our approach play does not give him the chance to get on the end of crosses coming into the box.

Keita not getting full game time is strange, but sometimes things happen behind closed doors we are not privy to.

With January approaching has there been any transfer rumours?!

After our loss against Brugge last Wednesday our manager told the press we desperately need an extra striker.

In my opinion we also need an extra central defender.

Perhaps, but the striker is far more important imo. And one with the right profile, not only in terms of goalscoring ability but off the ball as well. Right now, pretty much every player on the pitch with the exception of Maertens wants the ball played to his feet: Mercier, Tamari, Kaba, De Norre, Malinov, Keita, Schrijvers,... There's very little movement without the ball into space, which makes us far too easy to defend against.

In the game against Brugge, I counted at least five opportunities where there was a huge gap between either their central defenders or in the halfspace between CD and full back. But if nobody makes the run into that space, you can't profit.

you guys are crying out for a player like Iheanacho, who can’t seem to get a game right now…

Beerschot partly owned by Saudis and, like Newcastle, looking heavy favorites for the drop.

I always liked Beerschot for the name, but I don't mind the idea of both clubs dropping with a thud.

Same owner as Sheffield United by the way
