Looks like we'll go into the winter break in 10th place. Not a bad place to be, seven points clear of a relegation spot. Beerschot pretty much set to go down now, in last place with nine points, trailing ten to the prelast and twelve to a safe spot and just having lost 0-7 to Anderlecht.

We really need to strengthen the team. A couple of bad results after the winter break and we're back in danger.

 

Sory Kaba (Guinea) and Soufian Chakla (Marocco) are both called up for the Africa Cup so we'll be missing our starting striker and 1 of our starting CB's.

Our chairman announced that the work is done and the reports are ready to get in a striker. So I hope they have a few good players to sit around the table with, that can immediately perform at the proper level. For the rest he said that if any good deals can be done, they might do those as well, but nothing specific.

 

Great game today! Charleroi gave us a lot of space. We're deadly when you play against us like that. I like nice surprises so I'm happy to see Kaba and Tamari on the scoresheet. Kaba's passing was pretty terrible, but he weighed a bit more on the defense the way Henry used to for us, which was crucial in the build up. MotM for me was Runarsson.
