Because our tactics are all wrong.

We only play 1 formation: 5-4-1. This works quite well against the "big" teams as we can play counter attacking football. But against the "smaller" teams, it simply doens't work because we can't create any chances. In my opinion we need to play a 4-3-3 formation against the smaller teams, with Mercier as a CAM and 2 wingers.

....if Mercier is playing as a CAM, do you mean in the middle of the front 3 or in the midfield 3, in the "half spaces"!!!

It just seems like it would be a "false 9" if it was the front 3, and  would be a better "role". Playing a 4-2-3-1 gives you the option of the CAM and Mandela Keita playing the double pivot along with possibly  Schrijvers. Keita always looks like he could do more, he just appears to be under used and he has a calmness and getting the job done with no fuss. I do think you need another creative #8 as their is a lack of creativity going forward.

Ta'mari is very much like Sowah, it has become all about him and waiting for a big club to come and take him away,  he is not as good as he thinks he is.

I meant 4-2-3-1 :)

Our biggest problem has been the lack of danger coming from our wings. If we can create more danger from both sides, things will also open up in the middle for Mercier.

This will be interesting, match day and we're missing nine players, seven of which usually feature in the first team. Kaba and Chakla are still in the Africa Cup, Tamari, Romo and Rezaei are also on international duty. Malinov and Kukharevych are out with injury and both Maertens and Schrijvers are on a yellow suspension.

I used to know a lot about football but I never even heard of Union until now!

How come they are so far ahead in the top tier now?

I spent 8 years in the country and I've never heard of them!  To make things worse I'm 90% sure one of the pitches my mates and I used to go and play football on was in the St Gilles district where the team originally formed lol

Anything on transfers? Or still just Lamkel Ze being rumoured?

It's been dead silent about any incoming transfers so far. I'm not even sure if it's worth investing in any new players since we're quite close to the end of the regular season. I think staying in the first division should be our aim for this season so we can start fresh from summer... with a new DOF of course... and maybe with a better scouting team and transfer budget too.

As of today there's a rumour that we're trying to get Youssouph Badji on loan from Club Brugge. He is currently playing at Brest on loan, but he doesn't even have 130min under his belt there... I really wanted to believe the CEO when he said the homework was done, but now it's very clear to the fans that OHL have no clue what they're doing on the transfer market. This can't be player A or B or C or D on the list to reach out for.

To be fair, I don't think Badji is a bad option. I think the main target has always been Lamkel Ze, but it's getting more and more obvious that Antwerp (his current club) is just blocking the move.
