OH Leuven Thread 2021/22

Recommended Posts

....just tuned into this, so a player in an offside position (from a shot) between a colleague and the goal keeper, the rebound is turned in by a player onside and it is ruled "not a goal"!!!

Same as the Wolves situation, if he affects the keepers ability to see then he must be ruled offside.

Hmm ... just managed a clean sheet against a club in the playoff places ...  game against a struggling club next.

I guess we can reliably expect the worst?

"The ever-obliging OHL" ...?

At least you can earn some money placing winning bets on OHL. My ex girlfriend's dad in Greece, places bets on OHL ever since he learned about the team I support. He told me that one season he had only one result wrong and almost won the jackpot. You know what to do now ;)

Were there no comments in this thread after that crazy 2-2 game against Anderlecht? That game had enough drama to last an entire season!

Edit: I did not notice this was an old game from last year >_<

If it benefits both clubs and the loanees I can't see why not.

...isn’t that down to Brys!!!

If he says no, then he will not use them. He is the manager after all, and deserve the respect regarding players coming into the club. We seem to be bringing in players who are making up the numbers, no one coming in that can make a difference.

True!

Like I said, all parties involved need to benefit. If Leicester would send a loanee to Leuven, the player needs to be good enough to be a regular starter at least. No need to send someone to sit on the bench.

If the player is good enough and Brys gives the thumbs up, he will play. Both Sowah and Iversen came here with Brys's consent. If Iversen doesn't get injured in that game against Oostende he would've been our starting goalie for the rest of the season. I would love to get Daniel back by the way, but I doubt the lad wants to come back. I even believe he's to good to play for any Belgian team that hasn't qualified for European football.

3-1 loss in Eupen after another disappointing performance against a "smaller" team...

Feels like I'm repeating myself again when I say that Brys needs to go for an attacking tactic against those teams. Playing with 5 in the back works against the better teams that play attacking against us. What we need is a tactic with more players in the midfield/attack for these occasions. A blind man can see that... not Brys apparently. And of course we lacked the quality to make the difference today. Seems that motivation against the "weaker" teams is hard to find. Oh well, we can't relegate anymore. That has to count for someting... A new director of football who can actually attract players that bring something to the team and we're good to go for next season.

Very late incoming signing: Cedrik Gbo  has come in on loan (with option to buy) from Esperance Tunis (Tunisian 1st division).

Cedric Gbo is a 19-year-old defensive midfielder from Ivory Coast. He was expected to join OHL in January, but there were some problems with his visa.
