Chelsea A Post Match Thread

Recommended Posts

Simple Typical Leicester!

Didn't start playing until after we concede, this time didn't start until conceded twice. Why are we not capable of starting a game?

We were poor defensively, they had 3 free headers in our 6 yard box.

We've again bottled the top 4 and the FA cup amazing as it was, was won because Chelsea couldn't create and Tielemans scored a cracker not because we deserved it.

We were bullied out of that game and a limp wrist like Perez ain’t gonna win in a game like that. Why didn’t we show the fight early on, why wait till the end of the game, they had the energy at the end of the game. Need psyching up a bit more.

Who cares ! They spent 1/4 of a billion on 4 players last summer and we should have nicked a draw !

In Brendan we trust

I genuinely cant understand how rudiger never got at yellow the amount of times he left one in or went through the back of people is madness.
Regardless we weren't good enough and perez needs replacing so does maddison imo both good in spots but no way near consistent enough.

Deservedly lost, didn't play well enough.

Glad the season is nearly over, been very draining. The game against Newcastle was the killer really.

At least Chilwell gives the Chelsea game next year with a crowd in some spice.

It is pretty crazy how we will drop out of the top 4 right at the end of the season just like last season, i doubt that's ever happened to any team before, but it always seemed likely.

But I'd still happily sacrifice playing a few matches in the Champions league for our FA Cup glory.

Maybe it’s for the best. We need a stronger midfield

That's why Maddison has to stay on the pitch. No chance he skies that like Perez did.

I know his attitude is awful at times but his quality can't be denied.

Play him as a number 10 with a the shackles off. He buries that chance.

Not at the moment he doesn’t. His shooting has been shite for ages

Maddison was every bit as garbage as Perez was.

It was evident from the goals, the 'fighting' and the end result that Chelsea just wanted this so much more.

Don't think we can have any complaints about their penalty, the referee/ VAR were very kind to us. How the initial penalty against Tielemans wasn't given we'll never know.

We have sealed our own fate with that performance.  Absolutely no way will Liverpool drop enough points / goals for us to qualify for the Champions League.

An F.A cup and Europa League has to be  great season though although it's only natural to be disappointed at champions league having been so close.

Gentle reminder that we are guaranteed top 5 and we won the FA cup this weekend... we knew it was going to be a lethargic performance - today it was all going to be about whether Chelsea could bounce back. Fingers crossed they have tired themselves out now for the villa match

Embarrassing performance all round really.  They were always going to do us tonight but I still expected a hell of a lot more than that.  We weren't even competitive.  Similar performance as against Newcastle.

For me I hope that's the last time we'll see Perez in a City shirt.  Lad needs moving on in a cut-price deal.  He is actually detrimental to us as proved tonight.

Vardy was borderline worse however.  Man-marked their centre backs for 90 mins and didn't even bother to try and get in to the match.  Iheanacho must feel sick as a dog being dropped tonight.

Vardy is almost guaranteed a start against Spurs but I think his days as a starter for us are well and truly over.
