Our effort against Slavia Prague was pathetic, but it was clear we weren't prioritising the EL as highly as the PL and FA cup
Maybe we should?

Agree with this, add a different trophy to the cabinet.

We're not CL ready, clearly. Let's nail this as practice for the next time CL is within grasp.

So the confirmed teams so far for the group stage:

Real Sociedad

Real Betis

Leicester City

West Ham
Eintracht Frankfurt

Bayer Levekusen

Lazio

Braga

Lokomotiv Moscow

Loads more will be confirmed in the next couple of hours with Ligue 1 and Serie A coming to a conclusion. Lots of decent away days to get excited about though!

Hoping for Frankfurt or a Leverkusen trip.

Will we take it seriously though? We need a much bigger squad because if we don't the league will still be the priority.

You have to consider that the schedule next season won't be as compact and they'll be more of a summer for a lot of the squad. Also two less games in this competition now. It won't be nearly as crazy as this season.

Much prefer going to Sevilla than Russia tbf

Having been to Seville to watch Leicester play and having been to Russia for the World Cup, Russia is severely underrated as a place to watch football. Much preferred it to seville personally.

Russia at the World Cup and Russia playing one of their sides away will be two different experiences.

That said Sevilla will not be fun after the last time we played there.

Fully agree, but if Juventus drop into the Europa and this could happen with Milan winning and Napoli only needing a win, they would surely be the bookies favourites.

I was thinking that while writing it to be fair. Of all the cities I've been to to watch football Seville is right at the bottom of my list along with Marseille. A European final would still be great but I really don't want Betis.

Not relevant to this thread but pot 2 in champions League next year will probably have Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, PSG, Liverpool, Dortmund, Man Utd/Chelsea lol with Lille, Inter, Atletico and sporting Lisbon.

Still can change though.

You would think so, but if thing stay the same, Inter Milan, Atlanta, AC Milan & Napoli have all performed better than Juventus over the course of a Season. In the Europa League, teams only have to perform better in two, or even one, match depending on the stage. Furthermore, it's looking ever more likely of a Ronaldo departure which will massively effect them too.

The Europa League always ends up with a strong group of teams during the knock out stages, but on our day, we could beat any of them.

The last time (albeit some time ago) Juve showed zero interest in the Europa that they were in it
