To be fair I don't think people were writing him off, they were merely pointing out that he'd not done a lot. I stuck up for him but I get why some might not have been enamoured. There is a difference between a certain poster who has set his stall out and said he's bang average and others who highlighted that prior to a couple of weeks ago had been very mediocre and he had.

Such a shame his goal didn't contribute to a result but it's another notch on his belt and good experience for him. The confidence to drive at people with the ball too, movement and wanting the ball he's rightly part of the match-day squads this season, just a shame he can't be around a confident, competent side, he's having to set the example at times.

Did well last night and should definately get a run of games now. Imagine Rodgers will have him  on the bench on Sunday though with YT back. Can't see us playing 4 cms against Newcastle.

I'd like to play to our strengths and go with a diamond of Ndidi, KDH, Tielemans and Maddison, with Daka and Vardy up front. 

 

We've then got our best attacking talent on the pitch and can dominate the central part of the pitch.

Wow. Yep, he got into dangerous attacking positions but his final ball was poor and he was at fault for their 3rd goal (along with Bertrand) by backing off when he'd got back into a decent defensive position to prevent the cross coming in.

We've done this three games on the trot now and it simply doesn't work, never has with Vardy in a two, only time it did was with a withdrawn striker (Nugent, Okazaki, Iheanacho to an extent). This is the problem with buying too many central forwards we only have Barnes and Lookman (Perez at a push) who can play the wide forward roles.
