Look he's no Alan Ball,or even Gerard,

But he's the the mainstay of an Engine room we need..KDH balances Tielemans waverings...Cleans & sweeps the oddities of Ndidi, who should be now doing similar to KDH, and balances the IMO the excellent but, like Ball Mendy being short ass...Though Ball found a way to be an excellent irritant, great ball carrier and deliverery man.Scored some great goals...& Headers.

KDH Tielemans(Praet) Mendy, feeding

Tete , Nacho, Barnes, with Maddison supplying that free-flow of movement & creation...Should start to supply us with the push,to get us out of any Relegation

threat....

Vardy is gone for the important run in to the EO season. Depends how Rodgers wants to set up...and how much on the front foot he is willing to take us...

Better with KDH giving us the tact and enforcement...We have nobody like him

who gives us that vibe...

Pessimist!

2nd out of the 'other 14' is fine/very good!

Chances created is quite ambiguous though. What do they constitute as a 'chance'? How good are these 'chances'?

He's currently 7th in our squad with 0.15 expected assists per 90. And he's 5th in our squad with 3.19 shot creating actions per 90. Both are a more accurate representation of his creativity imho.

Just to clarify. I do like KDH. I like his energy and he gives us some much needed bite in midfield. But I wouldn't say he was especially creative.

Hang on a minute, I thought we didn't create chances?

We don't create good chances. A "chance created" is just a pass that leads to a shot. If we spent ninety minutes passing it to Ndidi and him shooting from the halfway line then as per the definition we would have created lots of "chances" but somehow I doubt we'd all be coming away saying wow that was brilliant, look at all those chances we created.

he's a bit creative. as well as being quite good at pressing etc and has a great attitude and great work rate.

most aspects of his game we have other players that are better at, in isolation. but KDH as a package gives us something we don't have otherwise in any one other player.

What’s the thought in having him rcm and Youri left?

Good question because KDH is left footed so you would think would be better suited on the other side. My guess is that Maddison drifts between the centre and the right, so maybe we want the extra energy nearer that side to allow Maddison to push up more often.

I didn’t think it worked. Several times KDH turned into trouble trying to bring the ball onto his left foot. I thought he had a really poor first half actually. He’s a left sided mid, can’t play on the right really.

Too many posters love a good cop out & chasing shodows...

KDH is doing a good job & playing well..

The problem we have is that we can’t fit everyone into the side and also have a dm. Neither kdh or youri are a dm. a dm sniffs danger and these two aren’t that player.  They push forward too much.  We did it in the conference league last season after wilf was injured and got away with it at home because teams sat back more.  we’ve tried it this season with Bouba and youri and it worked in our winning run pre wc but we were playing some decidedly poor sides at the time.

if rodgers has decided that this forward thinking double pivot is his way forward then prepare for a tough few weeks. you’d expect the likes of arteta, conte and ten Haag to look at that and expose it.

against the less capable sides it’s likely to be stressful but more often rewarding. rodgers went through a stage of playing ‘basketball football’ last season when we were without a defence. given the attacking options he now has, he may decide to do it again.
