Championship - 2021/2022

Just looked at the table and saw that Derby are only seven points from safety.

I don't want to sound like a grinch, but if Derby survive this season (assuming there are no more penalties) the media will make it out like Rooney is some messiah and the greatest escape of all and yet... it's seven points with 36 games still to go. It's eminently doable. They're not playing the under 10's or anything, they still have their squad

lol

Seems a little bitter mate, that squad should probably be dropping regardless of points deduction. It's wafer thin and made up of kids and geriatrics, their 3 centre backs have a combined age of about 110. He's got them playing some decent stuff to be fair to him. If they get lucky with injuries they've got every chance of staying up.

Mate they've got a defence of a combined aged of 250, it will be remarkable if he keeps them up

Cov look bloody good

6 out of 6 at home.

Fulham seem to be weak on the road as well.

BTW like your little quote.

Presume it was from your title winning season.

I don't think even now the press know many of our players tbh!

Particularly since Deeney left.

QPR seem to be the most entertaining in terms of goals, especially at home.

Remember listening to an interview with Les Ferdinand in the summer and he was excited about this season, he said they were finally rid of the players on big wages that couldn't be arsed and finally had a good team of players hungry to do well and get to the prem.

They've only lost three of their first eleven, conceded just eight goals in that time and would be comfortably lower-mid table without the points deduction. He's not managing the under 5's or a load of 40 year olds who can't last more than 50 minutes.

He's obviously doing a decent job, but the incoming overhype if they did survive would be ridiculous. Seven points from safety is more than surmountable with the squad he's got.

Means that Arsenal will get the full £1.4 million next season rather than a smaller percentage with the admin payouts, very generous :D

Might be wrong but I think the football league will expel the club if they fail to make any payments due to players and other clubs.

Arsenal either get the full £1.4m, or Derby go to the Conference and will almost definitely get wound up.

Don’t think COVID is the only thing to blame for their ills and troubles as Derby are saying .

Definitely, it's one of them really Derby didn't do anything that no other club has tried before and most succeeded and reaped the rewards (us included), but when you're gambling in this kind of landscape you don't anticipate a global pandemic lol
