He will cost 15-20million if we sign him now, which would be a decent amount of our budget. In the mean time we could get a cheap option on loan. Tarkowski available on a free next year would no doubt see one of the big boy teams get involved, and as they would probably offer a similar role and more wages, it would be a lot harder to get him We need someone with experience like Evans to come in rather than someone young like Knight or a loanee 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 4 June 2021 Share Posted 4 June 2021 Evans isn't going to be fit all season and if we're planning on going deep in 4 competitions we'll need 4 quality centre halves. It doesn't necessarily mean a back 4 constantly but it gives us decent options of both systems. Not massive fan of spending too much but 4 centre back options of Evans, Soyuncu, Fofana and Tarkowski is pretty good.
