They have great potential, but are still a risk. I know, but the question is, I suppose, do we think that Kelechi's form is sustainable? And also, is his all round play good enough for Rodgers? I like Iheanacho and as effective as he is, he can also look very ordinary in his link up play interspersed with some sublime skill or goal. I think that Rodgers likes players who are technically very good above those that are erratic but very effective. As far as Edouard goes, I'm not sure he is any better than Iheanacho. A goal every other game for one of the dominant teams in the SPL is good but I imagine that if Iheanacho played for Celtic he'd bag hatfuls. I think that Daka is potentially in a league above the pair of them though.

I think the scenario being discussed is if we'd bought in Daka and Edouard. I wouldn't sell Nacho without a replacement. I'm not sold on Edouard but if Nacho paid for Daka then I'd take that deal. In fact, best case for me would be forget Eddy, keep Nacho and buy Daka. Edited 15 June 2021 by murphy

Popular Post messerschmitt Posted 15 June 2021 Popular Post Share Posted 15 June 2021 Given how hard it is to find a premier league striker I'm amazed at how many people are willing to sell Iheanacho and replace him with 2 strikers who have played in Scotland and Austria.

I'm talking about from Rodger's point of view. I don't think he would agree. I think he likes players that can keep possession with accurate passing and a high degree of technical ability. I don't think that Nacho quite fits that bill and that is why Rodger's doesn't seem to rate him and even played Perez ahead of him when Vardy was injured. I just don't think that Rodgers is convinced despite all of his goals. Just my own gut feeling on the matter.

Lambert09 Posted 15 June 2021 Share Posted 15 June 2021 In all honesty, I genuinely think in order for a 5 at the back system to work you can’t have a Dm as well. it was okay while we were patching over cracks but if that’s the system going forward I can’t say I’m excited about essentially 6 at the back.
