I asked her to confirm it was the football shirt and then mentioned Daka. Her eyes lit up and she started chanting Leicester! Leicester! We ended up having a chat and I asked a few questions. Turns out she lives in Loughborough so for her the signing was a double whammy. Her husband and kids rocked up and we spoke for about 10 mins about his abilities and how all of Zambia are now behind us. It was wonderful and made me feel really proud how our club are now touching peoples’ lives and fuelling chance meetings like the one I had. Interestingly enough they are scared the premier league will eat his game up and maybe he should have had a spell in the Bundesliga first but have faith in Rodgers. Anyway just a chance meeting I was keen to share with you all. I’ll let you get back to the Euros now.
