Why is Patson Daka missing on the latest training pictures?

Recommended Posts

The complications (I ponder) are, he travels on a Zambian Passport, needs a UK work permit and did not hold a Residence Visa for Austria (don't get me started on that one).

So these could effect his quarantine status.

I can’t imagine he didn’t opt into the Day 5 Test To Release scheme.

Just pick the quarantine rules out of a hat basically.

Work permits for footballers in the UK are all done on a points system now. Pretty much if you’ve played in European competition or an European top flight you qualify.

Good question.  I am not the Club liaison Officer.

May be just red tape and hoops to jump through before being officially issued?

Maddison Albrighton and Evans are also in none of the training photos unless I missed something?

Maybe some players have been given a later start date.

Albrighton is there now, was in yesterdays photos

Madders, Evans, Perez all still “missing”

Evans has been given a longer period for his injury to settle.

So just the two went away then. Imagine doing that in any other job lol

"Why didn't you turn up for work today, you were due in?"

"Oh well I went to Spain and I had to quarantine when I got back yesterday, I'll be back in soon!"

"Erm."

@Godfrey Chikumbiusually they stagger the days that the players return to pre-season for, through a combination of international players returning late, but also so they can have more of an individual chat to each player. If you've got to talk to 35+ players all at the same time (the U23's normally join in), then it can be hard to make each player feel like an individual. Brendan Rodgers is a very good man manager so will want to make time for each player at the start of pre-season, especially new signings.

But one thing to look forward to is that new players have to sing a song as part of their initiation to the club. I remember one that Wilfred Ndidi did where Robert Huth could not stop laughing as he sang it! Will be interesting to see what song Patson chooses!

Is there anywhere we can see these humourous spectacles?

Would be EXCELLENT player/fan interaction, which seems lacking.
