if Iversen isn't going to play now Rudd is fit we may as well have kept him here as 3rd choice, hopefully today is a one off

I imagine it is because he only turned up at Preston on Wednesday and they have been using Rudd all pre-season

Yeah would be slightly outrageous if he went straight into the starting XI

not really he was playing for them last season so knows the players and manager, either way he is on now as Rudd gone off injured

Only re-signed 3 days ago, like Moore said they’ve had a whole preseason with Rudd, a capable GK. Right decision to start Rudd today but as you said, Iversen on anyway!

if we signed a right winger 3 days before Wolves everyone would want him to start even though Perez has done all pre season there, don't be a hypocrite should that happen...

Oh and reading a Preston forum most of them thought Iversen would start as he is the better keeper

who's worked up? the whole point of loaning him out is for him to play or he may as well have stayed here and we released Jakupovic, him not playing benefits no one, had he gone to a new club where he didn't know the manager or players not playing today would make sense be he is back to the club he was at last season, same players, same manager, same tactics so no need to settle in or anything like that.

Why is it some people are unable to have a discussion without assuming people that disagree with them are getting worked up?

Asked on the Preston forum about Iversen in their previous game, sounds like he was a bit ropey, but he is the least of their concerns for the upcoming season and he is going to have to deal with having a pretty poor group of players in front of him:

StevieNorthEnd: Wasn't great tbh, punched when. should have probably held and was possibly a bit suspect for a couple of goals, that said the whole side was extremely poor on the day.

Tino: Well he conceded 4, 2 went through his legs, one went in at the front post and one was a deflection. Didn't catch anything though that's more to do with the 'modern way'. I'm sure he'll now start and remain in the team for the rest of the season. He's the least of our concerns.

jamesOB: Looked rusty which is to be expected having only joined this week and not expecting to be playing. Honestly, he’s right at the bottom of the list of concerns

Dreyfuss: I think we'd told him we would be having a transfer overhaul in the summer, but he showed up and found he had the same set of players in front of him. He's had a full preseason playing with proper defenders so it'll take time to adjust to having to get back to making wonder saves every week.

simonnisbet: What must he think playing behind Leicesters defence then coming back here? They’re not the worst players ive seen but they are certainly not up to the job. 4 conceded at home to Hull, just imagine how they will fair away to the better clubs? Doesnt bare thinking about.

At least it sounds like he'll get plenty of practise this season.

This thread just isn’t the same without every 10 post seeing:

Dewsbury-Hall .8.4 90 mins 1 goal, 2 assists motm

Quite possibly in for a very dull year as it stands. No KDH or Sowah ripping it up and giving us a genuine interest in the exploits of other clubs who have our players.

Callum Wright is probably the only one at the min that might raise some interest. Would be good to see Tawanda Maswanhise or Thanawat Suengchitthawon get a loan too.
