Luckily the Burton player was alright and Shakespeare did the decent thing and took Benalouane off immediately. Can anyone explain what it is about the dangerous tackles and resulting bad injuries that seem to happen quite regularly in these friendlies? For example the Benalouane tackle and Balde’s tackle on Wesolowski that virtually ended his career. And now this recklessly stupid tackle/assault on Forfana. Why do do these players get so worked up in what is supposed to be a friendly occasion? Surely the managers must tell them to not over exert themselves anyway. Maybe it’s more noticeable because everyone is hoping that injuries don’t occur in the first place whereas in the rough and tumble of competitive action it’s a risk that’s accepted. Leicester's own 'trauma' doc put Wesley's ankle back into place on the field (or shortly thereafter) if that's what you're asking. Seems like a wise move now by BR to restructure the medical team and employ his specialist services.

"He fractured his fibula," the Foxes manager told the media. "Obviously, it was a horrendous injury for us and we’re obviously devastated for him because he’s a top-class young player, so he’s going to be a huge loss for us. Our medical team were fantastic on the night. "Our staff at the Club and all the people in the hospital really looked after him. [The scan] will give us a clearer indication of how long he’s going to be out. Of course, it was a horrible injury and we were all thinking of him last night. Brendan Rodgers "He has another scan today because his ankle was so swollen we had to leave it overnight. That will give us a clearer indication of how long he’s going to be out. Of course, it was a horrible injury and we were all thinking of him last night. "We now hope Wesley will be back as soon as he possibly can be and we’ll support him in that recovery." Elsewhere, there are no fresh injury concerns for City in the days leading up to their visit to Wembley Stadium, a 5:15pm BST kick-off on Saturday, with a number of players working at LCFC Training Ground towards their returns from injury. "It's just the guys who haven’t been involved over the course of pre-season," Rodgers added. "The likes of Papy [Mendy], Jonny [Evans], James Justin. James is coming along very well, but of course, he’s still a few months away. Timothy Castagne trained with the squad for the first time, which is great news for us. "He’s physically in a very good place, but he’s had his mask on today in training with the squad, so he won’t be available for the game, but hopefully, with confidence in training, he won’t be too far away. Apart from that, we’re okay." I still say we plan for the worst case and hope for the best.
Popular Post cruzFOX Posted 6 August 2021 Popular Post Share Posted 6 August 2021 If furry niño had a soul he would have realized in the moment the oxygen and stretcher came on the severe consequence of his red mist tackle. We've seen it before in other tackles by other players. He should have gone uptown Wes to see him and stood there with regret. He's waited until his agent or club has drafted an apology for social media as damage limitation since the club has been getting hammered. They do have an image to protect after all. Apology accepted but tis too little too late. Try telling Wes his season is over!
Popular Post Jonezy Posted 6 August 2021 Popular Post Share Posted 6 August 2021 Yeah says a lot about Fer Nino, that he was able to play on and even show enough composure to nick a goal. If I just have had a red mist moment and broken somebody's leg, i would not have been able to focus on anything else and would be full of remorse. Proper topping the shit list that twat.

This is true. I don't like him, but when Son broke Andre Gomes's ankle he looked genuinely devastated. I doubt if he would have played on if he hadn't been sent off. Same with Rondon when he broke the Everton players leg (Mccarthey maybe???). He was in tears and was substituted. It's a natural reaction but Nino acted like he didn't give a shit. Even had the nerve to try and justify his actions to our angry players while Fofana was receiving medical attention. Proper scumbag!

Not everyone’s cup of tea and certainly not perfect, but the job he did was a positive one! It was his hard work that created a team that a quality manager in Rodgers saw some potential in and a side he knew he could take forward.
