I think the question would me more why than how.

but it’s clearly new generation of modern day footballers that like to document everything. Up and downs.

Has Brendan spoken to radio Leicester or anything post match?

Probably gone straight to the hospital. Managers tend to for serious injuries

Sickening.

Of course its a disaster for us so close to pre-season but Fofana was on course to be one of the leading players in the world if he wasn't already.

To go out and do that and potentially cost a player his career is just appaling.

Just gutted for Little Wes.

Picture the scenes. We play villareal in the europa league final and it's Wes first start back for us. The whistle blows for kick off and he charges like a disgruntled wilder beast at the arse hole who injured him and just absolutely destroys him. We win on pens. All hail little Wes. But seriously that was horrendous you can only pray he'll be back as good as ever next season. We need to buy a cb now if we didn't already.

There can be no doubt that Fer Nino went into that challenge with malice aforethought because of what he perceived as an unpunished foul on him a few moments earlier.

The very least he and his club should do is acknowledge this and offer Fofana and Leicester a formal and sincere apology.

The very least.

no chance. Their lawyers will have advised them never to apologise because it could be seen as admitting liability. (Your motor insurance policy will have a clause requiring you never to admit liability)

Yep. It did look like revenge. To do it in a real match would be bad, but a friendly? (I’m using the term ‘friendly’ advisedly here, obvs!)

The still picture I’ve seen in Twitter blown up looks like it’s gone in about 3 places

It looks bad, but I suspect us making amateur diagnoses from blown up twitter pics is probably not going to help anyone!

That is a load of rubbish I'm sorry. Players often apologise and you can't be sued for an injury that occured during a game of sport. Motor claims is a different field of law.

There are different laws when it comes to sport in accordance with UK law - e.g. you can't get charged for assault by punching someone in a rugby game

Think most people are basing it off the Twitter account who seems to specialise in analysing football injuries… I’d like to assume the person is an MD given their knowledge

fair enough - I stand corrected.

But that makes their mealy mouthed tweat even more scummy, if they could have apologised with no comeback I mean

Well no, players apologise all the time for injuring others.

Gomez's look awful and he was back playing in 3 months virtually. Our luck will be that he's out for two years. Hope Wes is okay, he's got the world at his feet.

You haven’t got a clue what you are on about if you think you can’t get charged for assault by punching someone in a rugby game. There are plenty of examples where people have been prosecuted for attacking people during sporting competition when it has caused serious injury or harm.
