Covid pass for matches

The exemption will soon be made available on the COVID pass app so you will need to show the COVID pass app in the future even if you are exempt

Like I’ve mentioned above, the government need to change the GDPR laws before people are forced to disclose their medical information and although most people don’t seem to think declaring your vaccine status is disclosing medical information, in the eyes of the law it is.

Even if they make it so that exemptions can be shown on the NHS app, the law needs to change before people are legally required to declare their medical information to gain entry to events, it goes against both the equalities act of 2010 and the GDPR laws introduced around data protection.

I'm planning on using the NHS app for games when this comes in. My question is, with most mobile signals being terrible in and around the ground due to the amount of people trying to use them, what happens when the app doesn't load properly? Will it work offline?

I took a screenshot of the QR code for the visit to Wembley in case I didn’t have any signal. Not that it mattered, as it wasn’t checked.

Also no need (I believe) to show it for the Wolves match - requirement starting the following game week?

You are not declaring it tho, the app just states “valid” it doesn’t state if you have had a vaccine or not, there are other ways for the app to say “valid” other then actually having the vaccine, having tested positive for COVID after isolation the app will state “valid” negative PCR or Lateral flow test will state “valid” even if you are exempt it will state “valid” nobody but you will know the reason the pass is stating “valid”

I understand what you are saying but you aren’t understanding that by simply declaring “valid” to a medical question such as are you vaccinated? Or have you taken a covid test? That in the eyes of the law is declaring someone’s medical information, the law has to change for this to become mandatory, otherwise it breaches both GDPR and the Equalities act, that is why businesses cannot refuse entry if someone declares themselves exempt because it is against the law to refuse entry or to demand proof.
