Yes, it was Heineken cans but they were being poured onto a table on a constant basis. 

 

Worst thing about it was it was a paper cup and you could only pay card. They must have made serious money during the tournament ££££

It’s been like this for years, I never go down unless one of my must have a pint mates goes down at 38 mins in, other than that it’s pointless unless you don’t mind missing the start of the next half. This in itself is unacceptable and while I get is all contracted out a club that prides itself on its customer experience should be reviewing this (the contract), I hold no hope this gets resolved anytime soon this isn’t new!!!

It’s either £2/£3 for a medium cup of pick and mix in Morrison’s. Much better value. Definitely worth getting food from there before going in, I think it was like 2.70 for a soft drink and 2.40 for a water in the stadium. Expensive.

Gut buckets can't go an hour or two without a feed, then when they become covered in blubber say, its cos of me glands.

They'll be getting a complaint from me on Monday. Never seen incompetence like what I witnessed today. Honestly you could take a group of people from an indigenous tribe in the Amazon Rain Forest who have never come into contact with the outside world and the trappings that come with modern day living and I swear they'd be faster without any training whatsoever. 

 

I went down to the Kop concourse immediately upon half time to get a soft drink and joined the Hungry Fox queue. It didn't move once for 10 minutes. When it eventually did start to move the queue got to about half way then suddenly mid transaction the guy serving just walked out of the kiosk and never returned.

 

Despite this there were still 3 other people behind the counter so the chaps who had started to be served asked one of the other staff members if they could takeover the till so that themselves and everyone else could get some service. From what I could gather one of the women looked at them as if they had just asked her to explain Einstein's Theory of Relativity before unexpectedly storming out of the kiosk as well.

 

That left two people, one operating one till for the other queue and the other pouring drinks. After 5 minutes of waiting to see if anyone returned, I gave up and visited another kiosk only for the staff there to be treating orders like it was rocket science and it took me another 10 minutes just to buy a soft drink. Although it was now circa 60 minutes into the game, the lady serving me couldn't have been any slower if she tried and seemed almost oblivious to the fact that there was a game of football on that I'd paid to watch. 

 

It was bad pre-covid but today's experience was truly on another level. Considering how much money we've wasted on the wages of player's who haven't kicked a ball for the club over the past few years surely paying up this contract with Compass to get shot of them would be a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things. I just don't understand why the club are happy to put up with this level of poor service, surely there must be break clauses in place related to performance/quality of service.

I know it's likely a job they're not invested in with any great passion but they do their best to get it wrong. 

 

 

All someone's son or daughter, on minimum wage, probably with little or no training. 

 

Maybe blame the company that runs it, rather name call people.

Friend went to get a drink half an hour before kick off. Got to the front of her queue only to be told by the lady serving that line that she was "going on her break" and told her to join another line.

 

How do you roster a team that has breaks at one of your peak times, and even then not have anyone to come and take over from someone??

 

Genuinely not surprised at this thread.

 

Smaller side note. How long ago did Chang get binned off? Because there's still huge banners in the concourse and all the recyclable cups say Chang, wouldn't know it was San Miguel unless you looked at the menu board.

Wembley food is DECENT too. Expensive as hell, but very nice and huge portions too.

Firstly it was great to be back, enjoying the game and seeing so many happy fans.  Atmosphere was OK, yes not amazing but it's a strange time.  Stewards were all helpful and pleasant, club gets a lot right and a warm can of Fosters or a bottle of water was fine, thanks for that.  And a win, great stuff.

 

But inside the concourse the club is getting so much wrong.  It's laughable. I have forwarded my thoughts to the club previously and on the current request for feedback on the latest plans by the way.  Not just on a fans forum!  We are in the North Stand and moved to the "new" shrunken family section.

 

- Catering team needs binning off ASAP.  Yes we signed a contract with whatever the company is called.  Do we know when this ends?  Can't the club buy it out?  They are simply horrendous.  Don't blame the people working there, they are temporary staff, on minimum wage with little to no training.  It's hopeless, the product offering is terrible and the wait times are ridiculous, before the match it's bad, but half time don't bother!

- Get in independent companies who care for their product and service, look for small Leicestershire based companies who run individual stalls.  They will care and they will improve the offerings 5000%.  Even bigger companies who know how to run an outlet would improve things.

- Vending machines - easy to stock, easy for customers, reduces queuing, a complete no brainer.  Install some.

- A drinks only bar - spread the load, speed up the process, cater for the ones wanting a beer only.  

- Toilets - these are as bad as things get.  No soap, no hot water, no hygiene levels.  We are coming out of a pandemic, but who cares.  Just pile in and straight out.

- One way signs - don't put stickers on the floor - who reads them?  No one - did you know there was an entrance and exit to each toilet?  It was marked on the floor....

- Space - not much space, cram everyone in.  I looked at it and there would be no issues at all with installing a second floor where the stairwells spin round.  A mezzanine floor would go in there without any issues, at a reasonable cost and allow space to drink, eat, sit, enjoy your pint.

 

Anyway I did enjoy being back.
