Cant pass, cant hold the ball, cant shoot, always outmuscled

Only time you can see him in action when  he is driving fast towards keeper so keeper shots the ball towards centre

thats it

and this is tragic

Let’s hope your impatience is a minority viewpoint

I was saying all game, we didn't see any quality balls into space for him to run at. Even when he pulled onto the wing to get a touch, it was into his feet instead of behind the full back. Why have a player so clearly rapid and nullify his best trait? Like Vardy, he's not a player to hold the ball up, he should be running into space. Not as deft as Vardy is at finding those gaps yet, but I hope that will come with game time.

System isn’t set up to play to his strengths and unlike Vardy he’s not had years to adjust to it.

The only real criticism you can level at him is that he isn’t quite strong enough for the league… yet.

He'll bang in 20 next season and the same comments that are made now will be remembered - as in, plenty write him off way too early.

There'll be some that will accept they wrote him off too quickly. Then there'll be plenty of dullards that will refuse to accept he a) has maybe settled in to the team more, b) is actually a good player, c) is a good finisher, d) just needed more regular game time and confidence or a combination of all.

Forgive me because I know what you are getting at, but this sounds ominously like the kind of ‘kiss of death’ stuff that Peter Taylor and a lot of ‘diehard’ fans kept rolling out in their defence of the dreaded Ade Akinbiyi.

Let’s hope for a different outcome with Daka…

I don't go to enough live games to understand where this is going wrong. But he's either making runs and not being fed quickly. Or he's not moving and offering no outlet. All I see is him being given scraps of ball and nothing coming from it. That said, we play normally with an attacking 3 and I don't think any of the choices either side of him are playing exceptionally well and helping his game.

Yep got one ball over the top near the start, got onto the end of it and looked dangerous after that nothing!

Watching up in the gods at St James Park today it's clear there's a real lack of movement from him - he just doesn't make that many runs. We had plenty of counter attacking opportunities today where we'd won the ball on the wrong side of their midfield and had the chance to break, but he didn't try and stretch their defence. Instead he just stayed central in front of the centre backs. He has a lot to learn.

Question marks over him now and rightly so. Looks to be way in over his head. Let's hope Brendan can coach him to improve since pace alone is not enough to cut it here.

Is a loan to a Championship side a possibility? Being serious, some time to adapt to the English game with less spotlight on him could do him the world of good.

Because when he's got 25 goals before Christmas the usual suspects will come on here in their whiny voices "Why did we let him go out on loan....oh woe is me....Brendan out...boo hoo..."

I know there's not many as good as Vardy, but when watching Daka play in JVs place you watch and see his reaction time is miles off where you'd expect. When JV is on the run comes then the ball, or sometimes they happen simultaneously, with Daka the ball goes, he looks then he runs.

Hopefully it will come and he will come good. At the minute he's miles off, just have to see how it goes.

I know im bleating on like a sheep about this but why are we not playing him and iheanacho together? Barnes is out of form and we dont have a starting option at RW, surely a two striker formation has to be looked at? Look at the passes from iheanacho to barnes and daka against PSV, these are the types of balls that Daka loves. If rodgers just changed the system Daka would be thriving week in week out like he did against warsaw, Instead he's isolated and without service, Daka's struggles lie at the feet of the manager for stubbornly refusing to play to his strengths, not at his own.

If he’s cost tens of millions and is starting for a team with aspirations to get into the top 4 regularly then he will receive criticism irrespective of how little time he’s been with us. It comes with the territory. The only way he can turn it around is to score goals and improve his general play.

The team, which ever One it maybe...Still seem comprehensive to Play him into clear space, like they do Vardy....

So yes Daka is Left up the Orrinoco without a paddle...

Yeh but putting two specialist strikers up front when are playing mainly teams who play 1 up front and an extra midfielder means we get overran in midfield and allows their two centre backs to man mark a striker each. The modern top level striker has to be able to play on his own at times. The worry is Daka can’t do it.

Daka has to move better to create that space. That’s what makes Vardy so effective - his movement off the ball.

Impatience?

Did i say we should sell him or something?

All i said is straight  facts and nothing you can do about it and sadly neither Daka can so far

Not sure how we could draw your conclusions (that’s what they were, not facts) on his limited performances thus far.

Not saying you’re definitely wrong, but I think you’re also assuming he’s going to be our starting striker next season to be able to go on that kind of run which I can’t see.

And scoring 20 in a season is extremely rare, only Vardy has done that for us in the Premier League era - he’d have to be our first choice striker and start every game to have a realistic chance of doing that.

Can’t see him getting the same opportunities next season to be able to score 20 tbf as Vardy likely won’t be out injured for half of it.

I think he’ll likely have less regular game time next season if anything than he’s had this season, especially if we don’t qualify for Europe, which was where a good chunk of his goals and assists this season came in.
