Patson Daka

The future is a Daka and Iheanacho partnership.

Vardy impact sub.

Not saying that it solves all our problems, but it's the best option we have now.

Both need a chance to flourish and a run of 10-15 games starting.

Not sure about Vardy as an impact sub, he works over time for his chances and often gets few touches. I am repeating myself but let the three build up partnerships playing 2 up front. Occasional half time changes and the now faster Daka to finish the game, especially if we pack midfield or defense at 70 mins

EDIt  I am one of those that thinks Vardy could still be our best striker if given support....could be wrong but a run of games playing all 3 would clarify things a bit

It really doesn't. A manager who can play 3-4-1-2 successfully or 4-3-1-2. Ndidi is so badly out of sorts but a new manager worth their salt gets his confidence back and frees his game up to be the protection of the defence like he used to be absolutely phenomenal at.

Maddison plays in the 10 role, easy.

4-3-1-2 seems like a good idea with our squad but there's a reason barely anybody in the top leagues uses it regularly

Need to play two up top but also avoid being over run in mid field.

Barnes might be considered more of an attacker than midfielder.

2 up front, Barnes and Madders advanced does a whole in midfield.

However, 2 up front, Madders, Ndidi (proper CDM again), KDH and another grafter either side could work.

A bit unfair on Barnes.... but it is the Daka thread.

Think that's a lot to do with him not getting enough support up top though.

Totally agree but would still prefer vardy working a partnership with Kelechi first half and the younger Daka being given a proper go in the 2nd half where he might finish the game up top all alone.

If Daka clicks and earns the right to start, Vardy could become the last 20 minutes fresh legs option.

All the best teams have a partnership that either scores goals or stops goals going in at the other end.

It sprang to mind last night that City currently haven’t any.
Spurs you’ve got Kane and Son.

Man City you’ve got De Bruyne and Haaland.

Liverpool HAD Mane and Salah.
Man Utd now have Ericsson and Rashford (early days).

One of the ones that worked well for us for some time was Albrighton and Vardy. Just watch back the 2016 highlights of Vardy’s goals and see how often Albrighton was involved..

Currently we have no-one feeding no-one.

Possibly the Kelechi/Daka combo is the future?

...we do not get the RW or Barnes is not a factor unless you choose to play him as a forward!!!

I feel he needs to take up a forward position in his career and he would find himself with those formations. Barnes is a real talent in the forward role, we will have to utilize him in some way, and he will end up being more involved in games, he is not involved enough.

This line up, fully fit and in form would be ****ing awesome.

New GK’s a bit of a mouthful though.

They would be, if there's a different manager.

There's no doubt there's talent there, I think you only have to look at Salzburg last night to see how their latest wonderbastard forward faired against a Premier League side to see the difficulty in adjusting to this league.

Haaland is an outlier and also had time in Germany before coming over.

But the likes of Daka, Sesko, Adayemi etc, if they come over here or in Adayemi's case with him in Germany, it's going to take time to hit the same heights!

As others have said, we need to help him by playing the right system/tempo too.

Ricardo at right back, Castagne at left back.

I don't mind the selection, though presently I woul pick Tielemans...

Major issue I believe in yes..Daka & Nacho...

Then Vardy...& Praet as impact subs.

60-70mins in...And set up your tactics so...train around this concept...

Then Mendy, Thomas ,Evans supporting cover...

Find your team..Select...then Plan & train intensely with your subs, who become major part of the game.
