Genuinely cannot believe people piling in on here to say that Youri isn't all that. He's a top class talent just going through a rocky spell most probably due to being physically and mentally drained after playing non stop for the past 15 months. Doesn't help when our manager plays him for 90 minutes in 3rd round League Cup games against the likes of Millwall.

Yep, don’t get it. The fella is superior to any player we’ve ever played in that position. Won’t get better than him in that role without spending £60 million upwards

I first saw him as a youngster playing for Anderlecht vs Man Utd, alongside Dendoncker - he looked really good. Hasn't progressed as envisaged, and I think he's probably reached his level

What was the expectation then? Cos you are talking top ten no 8/central midfielder there in the World. The margins are so small at this level between internationals

The guy who scored the goal plays in the fourth tier in France.

Our shit form is spreading around the world quicker than covid did.

African football is a lot less predictable than people may think. Anyone can beat anyone besides the real poor sides (like Djibouti, Ethiopia, Malawi etc). It's not like European qualifiers with a massive gap between talent like san marino vs England for example. Central African Republic has some decent players, as every team does, like kondogbia and others. Rarely do you see massive victories in African football.

And most of the pitches are like cabbage patches, so it's a real leveller.
