Worst ever manager

Anybody unironically saying 'Puel' should have their season ticket confiscated.

I’ve gone Peter Taylor but it could’ve been three or four of them. 

I think it’s just that era though with Taylor, Bassett, Akinbiyi, Dennis Wise, the whole thing was just a long nightmare

Levein was woeful, and not just with us. Originator of the 1-10-0-0 formation when in charge of the Scots. Sousa was a huge disappointment and Taylor appeared idiotic at times, but Holloway was just a pantomime and takes it for me. Dishonourable mentions for the other two.

For me it has to be Peter Taylor. to a certain extent most of the others, perhaps with the exception of Sousa, were playing with a few cards missing from their hands but Taylor took over a successful squad from MON and systematically dismantled it, mishandled players, and took us from being a top half premier team with recent cup wins to relegation fodder in just over a year or so. 

Oh, and he signed Junior Lewis, which has to go down as the worst managerial decision ever, seconded only by forking out a record fee for Akinbiyi.

Holloway a close second but things had been in decline for a while by the time he added the final humiliation

Taylor spent more than the rest combined - got this alone Taylor wins - though Taylor is possibly the only manager who can still lose from this strong a position.

Taylor era nearly financially killed the club. Poor decision after poor decision

Taylor by far. At the time we were on the crest of a wave, potentially moving to the next level, relatively big spend new stadium. Peter Taylor wasted a fairly large budget at the time on a bunch of mediocre or injury prone players. Akinbiyi, Benjamin, Scowcroft, Lewis, Jones, Marshall, the little rat Wise! Man is a disgrace.

 

Sousa tried to change the style to tippy tippy without changing the players, under Holloway we had been on a downward spiral fir a while, Levine and Pleat were bad, Pleat actually brought in some decent players. Levine just dull beyond all belief.

Pleat was so disappointing. Great first 6 months , cracking football, then it was painful. We would be 17th at Christmas but he was sure we’d make a run for the play offs!

Can't really top losing an FA Cup QF, at home, to a lower league club so short on strikers that the winning goal was scored by a guy who just a week before was sitting on his sofa and answered a desperation Teletext advert.

Craig levein for me he's what made me stop going and eventually ending my season ticket because of it he's one of the people who sowed the seeds of us going down imo it didn't happen over night was a culture that was a built on a shite atmosphere all around.

Peter Taylor is the only answer. He single handily ****ed us with his appalling expensive signings and setting the foundations for a solid top half prem team to be relegated two years later. Ian Holloway was dealt a shit hand by Mandaric and if you listen to ex players from that time they all say it was an impossible job he had.

Has to be Taylor. Hands down. Takes some level of incompetence to take MON's squad and relegate them so soon after, and with plenty of backing, as well. Absolute shambles.

Judging by the 92 we’re the same age and he was the reason we stopped having  season ticket so dull and boring
