After seeing how you make a bacon sandwich I'd be inclined to say the same to you

I might be in the minority here but I just can't stand butter (or any spread like substance) on them. Anything else is acceptable in my eyes. My ideal one would be some high quality, thick white bread, thick butchers bacon and brown sauce (I do go for ketchup on the odd occasion). Nothing else.

Im not keen on white bread anymore, tastes like cotton wool. So much lovely bread out there it just seems the bland option. 

 

Brown sauce is for beans or tomatoes only, it detracts from the taste of the bacon in a sandwich, in my humble opinion anyway.
