The Fofana to Newcastle rumour is the biggest wind up I’ve heard yet. Come on, they’ve been in the seat five minutes and some people think “The Saudi’s” watching on an illegal stream (BeIN has been banned in Saudi for ages before the compromise) decided to get in contact with Fofana’s agent as soon as they completed one of a multiple of multi million pound deals they’ve done this month ? Come on….

 

They’ll get Staveley to hire a quality DOF (not to rely on the guy who considered Jamal Lewis Prem standard), deal with the manager issue and then allow them to earn their handsome salary. With exception to Salah and maybe Mahrez, The Saudi’s genuinely do not give a **** who they sign. Contacting the agent….they’re worth nearly £700bn - they don’t contact anyone lol.

I don't get that mindset at all, they'll be able to attact plenty of players with the money and the project.

 

I'd be worried about the sense of a person that just looks at a team in the bottom three and can't see the massive potential there.

Perez did very well there...... Maddison for 80 million etc it could be great. It doesn't really matter how much money they have to spend the only players that will go there now will be ones from teams like us that we aren't that bothered about losing or the teams at the top cast offs. Some players may go just for the money like the ones that went to China but they will be the type of characters that we wouldn't want anyway. It will take them years to get to the stage where they can sign top class players by challenging for Europe and that's if they ever get there. Look at how long it took Man City.
