Had a great few days. Obviously the football was what it was, but it was some experience to witness such vociferous home support as well as the police presence after.

 

Didn't spend much time in the old town other than Thursday afternoon and the bit we stayed in had a proper 'studenty' feel about it- so dotted in and out of bars with zero issues, loads of decent beers too. 

 

Plenty of history in Warsaw so visited a couple of museums too whilst generally wandering and enjoying the architecture on Saturday which was good. 

 

I was sad to be leaving yesterday  morning personally and I'm looking forward to going back one day to explore some more.

Thank you to the three guys, whoever you are, who allowed me to share their Uber to escape the Polish police cordon. Once the driver dropped you three off near your hotel, he took me back over the river to my Airbnb in about 10 minutes and 'off the book' for 20 zloty. So a 'win-win' for him and me! Thanks again.

Haha the pair I went with are the same, I’ve got a banging head ache and a bit of a sore throat. Would be shocked if I’ve got it though as I had it 3 months ago.
