Brighton, A Match Thread

Recommended Posts

Never a penalty in a million years.

And why is not yet mandatory for the ref to go over to the screen and look at it himself. It's an absolute farce. He goes over to the linesman and asks him, then VAR looks at it, and yet, as the referee, he is the only one who doesn't go and see it again with his own eyes - he is the ****ing ref. Is it not his job ? Absolutely f******g nuts.

That's ridiculous I have to say. He's being dragged over. Perhaps we should ask the ref to jump in the air while someone tries to pull him to the ground and see where his arm ends up. How else can we expect officials to have any idea what they're actually supposed to be looking at? Was the same last night with Walker's clear foul to bring down the Southampton player. The ref was obsessed with the tangle of legs and missed the fact that Walker had already barged him over by the time their legs collided.

Does the same apply to the Manager - he trains and picks them

It's clear he has his favourites. Can't argue that Rodgers has brought success to the club but decisions he makes and subs he does is baffling.

His style of football should be fast and exciting and in reality it's slow and pedestrian.
