Someone posted a pic somewhere of Maupay hanging off of Lestaguards right arm (the penalty decision). Anyone know where that is? I've looked through the last half dozen pages of the match thread but couldn't find it.

Attwell is an incredibly weak ref. 
 

The assistant made all 3 crucial decisions.

If they went on to disallow every goal where a player is standing in an offside position then fair enough. It would be stupid but at least it's the same for everyone. Seems they've decided they will disallow at corners but not from open play. They've come up with the idea to discourage players standing on the keeper and causing them shit.

That's not what anyone wants to hear and is the biggest problem with the managers vision of the game.

Just that he looks offside. The lino isn’t to blame if these decisions are wrong - he basically just says ‘he was past the defenders ref’ and it’s up to the ref to decide if an offence has been committed.

All I am going to say shit result no good playing for the last 30minutes this result leads to some serious questions about the team and management no better than what we had under puel at this moment of time .we win a couple of trophies and we thought we are the bees knees .just not good enough

They were all over us last season too at their place....

We could easily have just the single point this season, we've been terrible and Rodgers is responsible. 

 

Difference is, Rodgers isn't getting as 'lucky' as last year and his poor decisions are rightly now being punished.

And as the ref probably hasn't seen either, it really is a decision that ought go 'upstairs'. As mentioned upthread, it's a bit, um, vague as to who is deciding and who is  checking.

Yes, Brighton are the reason we have looked terrible against Wolves/West Ham/Norwich/Man City/Napoli.

 

 

I thought, like against West Ham, Brighton were very ordinary, and we were multiple goals down because we have no attacking threat.

I hate VAR and would scrap it completely, but yes, if you have it, this seems exactly what it should be used for.

It’s too easy to “stop us playing”. Far too easy.

 

The way we play does half the job for the opposition to “stop us playing”.

We are our own worst enemies in most games.

I feel gutted all 3 decisions were wrong, at the highest level this cant happen, including Thursday it’s hard to take. It along way to go but really can’t see us finishing top 6 it’s going to be really difficult this year.
