Support and atmosphere

St Mary’s gotta be up there with one of the poorer atmospheres in the league right?

Area to our left as you looked at the pitch didn't have too many singers but those that were there were consistent.
Full of just like clowns jumping about behind stewards and faux attempts of offering fans out.

At least 2 of them were thrown out. Strange to be so angry for a very run of the mill league game.

Seems to me our home support is as good or bad as most the other teams we play. Biggest issue for me is that our ponderous style of play these days is not conducive to getting anyone off their seats. Most people don't like it and it's hard to sing (or cheer) and moan at the same time.

Spot on.    At the moment, our atmosphere is just "middling".  Not the worst; not the best.

(anyone who thinks it's the worst in the League, clearly doesn't go to many away matches)

Most clubs have ups and down.   It's cyclical.

Clubs that are having a good time, compared to previous seasons tend to be loud,    So West Ham, Leeds, Brentford and Norwich are really up for it at the moment.    Before that Wolves and Villa were loud after they just got promoted.   As we were in 2014 and for a few years.  And Burnley, and all the others.

After that, you tend to settle down ... and it needs something like a really good season or near relegation to shake you out of your complacency.   And if you get relegated, you might have to have a few years of dross before you get back to where you want to be.

If Forest, Derby or Cov ever get promoted back to the Premier League ... even they will have a really good atmosphere.   For a couple of years.
