Soumare and play him behind Vardy

Against a bus company like Burnley I might chance that.  I think it's a terrible injustice that Kel isn't starting, but at least Perez and Maddison aren't either and Lookman is getting a look, Man.

Which isn't his game if course.

Unfortunately that is the problem. Brendan clearly sees him as a striker even if he can drop deeper in the 10 role and is reluctant to play 2 strikers when we are playing a back 4..

Most people wanted rid of 3/5 at the back, which unfortunately means Kelechi is sacrificed to start most games and be a good impact sub..

No we don’t, we’re at home. Already got Wilf Soyuncu Vestegaard.

We don’t need to set up because we’re scared of them

It's more about being prepared than scared. We know what Burnley are about. Mitigate their threat and have our own. Simple

We’ve played 4231 against better teams than Burnley with Maddison behind Vardy. Not much difference between Maddison and Iheanacho defensively is there?

Not when Lookman has played. Pérez is better defensively than Lookman

I'm very happy with that line up,  Lookman has definitely earned his start.

A little gutted for Nacho,  not really much more he can do to get himself starting.

Hopefully we start well and get that first goal.

Going a goal down to these will make for a very frustrating and boring remainder of the game.

On paper the difference is that Maddison is far more reliable on the ball with his back to goal in that #10 position and allows us to keep it and remain balanced.

However the game isn’t played on paper and he’s been utter shite this season so May as well play Kelechi!

We’re playing 3 deep lying midfielders at home to Burnley, although you could argue Soumare is ‘box to box’, not sure there’s a need for all 3.

Id be far more worried about us not being able to break them down for 90mins with 3 central midfielders none of whom are attack minded -  rather than the 5-10 set piece opportunity they’ll have throughout the game.

Exactly, it’s not played on paper. Maddison has been awful for about a year, we’ve seen how much Iheanacho contributes when he plays.

Well he’s not an attacking midfielder is he, more of an 8 than a 10. Far better playing from deep with space in front of him rather than with his back to the Burnley goal

But he's also not a deep lying destroyer is he? He's the link, he's the one that often starts the attack...
