TalkSport are very much in the "Brendan can do no wrong" camp. To be honest, they were probably more worked up with the booing of the Lookman substitution than Rodgers was. He seemed to acknowledge the fans were entitled to be disappointed he was taken off when giving his reasons.

 

The booing at the end was for the referee. As ever, mountain out of molehill.

Maybe he was pointing at the ball to go a get it to restart the game. It looks like Nacho does as he’s told

Just watched Vardy's first goal again and it's really good build up play. One and two touches. Quick and accurate forward passing. More of that please.

There was booing for the ref when he came off but there was also too much booing at the final whistle.

Our goal against Brighton was also excellent, a really nice move. 
 

Hopefully a sign we will be OK, if we can cut out the slow starts and sloppy defensive errors…

The fans also clapped the players walking round the pitch after the game. It wasn't that bad at all.

That’s standard after all games though 

 

what was awful to hear was booing as the final whistle went …..its obviously a small minority but in the west stand where Brendan will hear more clearly you couldn’t miss it

Yeah it's not great but I've (and I'm sure you have) heard far, far worse. TalkSport have decided we've pretty much made the team and manager run a gauntlet of hate but in the real world it was a reaction mixed with frustrations at the result, the performance, the officials and the time-wasting. On the Premier League review show earlier the commentator on there mentioned how annoyed the crowd were with the amount of injury time played and it contributed to the reaction.

 

Rodgers has been here two and a half years and this is the first time a negative fan reaction has been really discussed. Ok we were out of the grounds for a year but it is still 18 months and around 50-odd games. That is some going in the modern game.

The players and Rodgers know that in EPL you have to fight for every point and you cannot be sure of beating any other team. Every match is a severe test and you will come unstuck even if you are the favourites. Other teams are often called shit on here but they certainly are not. This league is the toughest going because ability is widely spread. We have very good players but so do the majority of our opposition. The fans need to understand that nothing is going to come easy. The 15/16 team battled their way to the title  and that is what we are going to have to do again but it could be a bumpy ride.

1 agree I couldnt get out straight away as  most people stopped to clap the team at the end and personally  like most around me enjoyed the match  if not the end result
