He was poor against Burnley, Castagne did well up against Zaha today and we needed someone who could defend well against him - Castagne is the better defender.

It's a shame both he and Castagne, by a long way our best full-backs, both prefer playing on the right. Ideally they'd both be in the team.

Needs to be SOME alternative reason why he isn't playing surely... can be just because he has been poor recently where as Castagne has been good...

He's been benched after a poor game against Burnley last week. He hasn't been his best this season anyway.

Castagne was good today and not the reason we conceded twice. Ricardo is good going forwards but recently been susceptible at the back.

I think Riccy should start, and Timmy even though a better RB. Should be on the left. Get your best players on the park. Timmy plays on the left for bloody Belgium. So I'm sure he can do it in the Prem. Riccy is such a positive outlet going forward I'm not sure we can start without him. He forces the other team back.

Nobody (sane, anyway)  is suggesting dropping castagne.

Actually the majority of Castagnes appearances for Belgium have been on the right.

 

16 appearances and just 3 of them on the left side.

Yes but Burnley were targeting Ricardo's side of the pitch with cross field balls and crosses to Cornet because he was often so far forward and giving Cornet so much space to work with
