Who next after Brendan?

He needs a reason too, he doesn’t need a reason to not come, he has a job.

I think double or triple his current salary would focus the mind a little.

This surely can't be right? Rodgers is on 10 times what Ralph is on. Shocking

So we could boot Brendan, offer Ralph half Rodgers salary and break even over the term, excluding Saints pay off. lol (obviously not)
Just don’t think he would come though, need to find our own Ralph.

I wanted Ralph as well, before we got Rodgers... then a few months later we pumped them 9-0 lol

But it was the idea of a German coach who insisted upon the press, aggression, and quick transitions... everything Rodgers was for a short time. Everything Puel wasn't.

When Nigel got us playing at our best towards the end of the great escape, that is exactly what we did. We got after teams, scared them to death with the amount of pressing we were doing.

Now we play a high line, but don't press. It doesn't make sense, and for that reason, I have been in the minority and wanting Rodgers out for almost 18 months.

Yeah that's fair, if you have an idea of what you want to see then you have a right to want a manager that brings that, regardless of the success we have, I think for example if Pulis came to us and won the FA Cup there would be a large section of people who want him out because of the football. At the start of BR's time we were electric, absolutely brilliant to watch, no idea why he went back on that for this sideways and backwards dross we are currently putting out.

....football culture changed as normally the case!!!

Three at the back became a feature for the progressive managers and clubs started migrating to this format. It is all very well to see someone in a new dress but it does not mean it is going to look as good on you.

Agree totally Ralph is well loved at Southampton...let him build them up.

Potter is doing something at Brighton let him build something there.

Gerrard and Lampard are getting their fans excited and are among the next generation of great manager's.

Think we need to find our own up and coming manager that we can like

We need someone who is familiar with prem league, that limits our options , so Ralph is who we should go for, or Potter

Anyone who wants Rooney, Lampard or Gerard at our club is nuts. Lampard was clueless at Chelsea with regard to tactics. Rooney is constantly the story at Derby and unproven at Premier League level. Gerard seems to be a good motivator, but has yet to be tested tactically with a top club. They’re all Kevin Keegans until proven otherwise. Famous ex-players who have done nothing of real note in management.

Feyenoord with another win, Arne Slot get it done.

Love that he sticks to his system like Tuchel, Conte, Klopp etc. Likes to play 4-3-3 week in week out.

Non of this tactical flexibility nonsense that only Man City have the players for.
