It states in the email you COULD be denied entry if you don't show the green certificate on entry to the ground. How do you get this green certificate I downloaded the VerificaC19 app scanned the QR code in got  confirmation that it scanned OK but now can't find the certificate when I open the app up.

Booked lateral flow test for departure £22 (postal) and an appointment for 2nd day test at the test centre in Highcross Saturday morning (same day result) as I arrive back in Luton Friday 16:45 cost £99. Assuming I do not have a positive test result I can attend Newcastle game at 14:00 Sunday

That’s fine.

 

Your green certificate is your NHS QR / proof of vaccination.
 

The verifica app is what the italian authorities will use to check your proof of vaccination is legit

I booked this on a drunken/hungover whim Friday morning, so am feeling so underprepared for it all

 

Its a mission enough out of Covid times, never mind with all these vaccine passes, tests and PLFs. All to get stabbed in the arse 😂

 

RE Police Escort

 

Are we taken it as a given that we’re getting one to the stadium? (Or coaches laid on) to avoid the said arse stabbing, or has there been an announcement I’ve missed?

 

What about after the Final Whistle? Kept in the ground presumably, but are we then getting escorted back to the original pick up point?

 

I’m pretty keen to avoid the palaver after Warsaw away, where we’re left trying to book Ubers

There will be a police escort from a location. Very likely the same as the ticket collection point. I suspect they will want City fans on those buses at least two hours before the game. You’ll be dropped off in the compound of the away end. 
 

The same will happen after the game and be at least a hour after final whistle. Dropped off same spot. 
 

I would recommend no one makes their own way to ground or back. Have a read of my original post on this topic.

Do we need this green certificate as it says the COVID pass is recognised as the same ?

On the club's email today, for stadium entry it states in bold:

 

NHS COVID Pass together with a full vaccination certificate (paper copy)

 

I'm fine with the NHS app covid pass but what is the paper copy vaccination certificate?? Is that the little vaccination card we were given, or just a hard copy printout from a pdf from the NHS app?

 

Be grateful for anyone's opinion..

It’s the hard copy printout from the pdf. 
 

It’s very likely that the stadium / bars / restaurants in Naples will scan the paper copy or need to see it for their own rules.

Go to the app and Travel section. It gives an option to download as PDF, which I’ve then done and sent it as an email to my mate who owns a printer

The police will collect us outside the city and take us to the stadium via the ticket collection point! They haven’t confirmed the collection point but I’ve already worked it into our time schedule

I think the people advising not to post it on here have been watching too much Green Street 😂

 

Probably the same people who were convinced that any Polish national in the pub in Warsaw was a ‘spotter’ 😂😂

Slightly anxious about the whole thought of this trip now with the variant and the chance of trouble there.

 

How are others feeling? I’m hoping to get out early in the day prior to the game to see some of the sites but is even that not worth the risk? 
 

Keen not to miss us playing in such an iconic fixture, as who would of thought we’d be playing Napoli 10 years ago but the whole worry definitely makes me think is it worth it.
