The Moscow 25

White, younger males, lad type, stag do mentality, call it what you will. England away type crowd if you like.

@Foxxed, I was responding to this, not posting about any of the 25. Historically, this sub-section of society is more likely to cause problems on average, but I understand why some people won't like to hear that, The discussion was whether the club is actively trying to make it harder for them to attend, which may or may not be the case - I simply don't know that, but if they are, I can see the reasoning, even if I'm not sure it's being handled well. I'm happy to agree that in fan relations matters, the club could do a lot better.

And, for clarity, I'm not saying ALL those people are a nuisance either - just an observation of probability.

I'd still love to know how I managed fo get there in a car from 50 miles away and so many couldn't make it to that.

That night my dad came and picked me up and we drove into the city quicker than usual due to the lack of traffic. I think that it took people about 2 hours to get home from work in what was usually a 20 minute drive put a few off. Great night though. :D

The worst thing is that it’s not at all surprising.

...the club is getting a lot of flack for not emphasing the individuals who went to watch their team!!!

I would think the supporters who attended got another story to tell, in there anecdotes of following their club.

Could it be that this situation and perceived slight is not something that is registering with the travelling support and only with the people looking on.

Thanks for all these brilliant messages. Sitting in my Moscow Hotel Room with a big grin after that. Only my second ever European trip  to watch us - the other one was the Porto debacle !  No worries about aftermatch violence, we were kept behind for ages before being escorted en masse to the Metro by an army of paramilitaries . They outnumbered us 3 to 1.
At 64 years old I am sure I am the eldest of the 25 , no chance I was gonna take my shirt off in that weather - it was snowing at one stage .

Big shout out to the Zambians who suddenly appeared and turned it into a carnival atmosphere. Lovely people.
Moscow is a beautiful city, we won 4-3, I watched Daka score 4 and got to swap scarves with a Sparta fan. Whole trip has been worth all the expense and hoops to jump through.

Brilliant to read that. Made my morning

Absolutely sensational effort from our fans and the Zambian folk that joined, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up watching those videos. Brilliant.

Sounds like Moscow and Spartak have been very welcoming, not the sort of thing that tends to get talked about but it's good to hear. Whether they'd have been quite as friendly if there was several hundred out there remains to be seen but I doubt there'll be similar pleasantries in Naples.
